From the sound of it, the exhibit hall was packed, but it was a practical desert from the view of the Spiked Candy booth. The Blizzard, Bethesda, and Naughty Dog sections were the size of city blocks, eating attendees like a black hole. Maybe it was the biig displays at the BHVR booth obscuring them from the main thoroughfare's view? Eric drummed his fingers on the table, only trying to be real discreet when he looked at the girl through the corner of his eye.
Devin scooted his chair back. "I think I'm getting some lunch. You want anything?" If prior experience bore out, it meant he was going to disappear for two hours.
"Nah, I'll... go when you get back." Eric wished he was the one going. Devin was clearly the more conversational of the pair of devs, and with him gone, it meant Eric left with alone with her. Gulp.
