Michael Maximus Altima was born August, 14th 1360 to two loving parents Alexander Michael Altima (a high ranking Knight who had the title of Master Commander which was the fourth most powerful Rank you could achieve as a knight) and a woman named Anabella Eliza-Bell Altima who was a seamstress and caretaker. The two had been madly in love since they were children having met when they were both eight years old and stayed together until her husband's death when Michael was six years old. This is when she was chosen by the King to become the caretaker/nanny for Princess Morgana a job which she respectfully accepted.
Over the years as Nanny, she juggled her life as the only breadwinner of the family and as a great mother to her only child Michael. Usually, she kept these lives separately until one day the woman she had to sit with her son was sick and she was forced to bring him to the Castle with her. At first, she thought the King would be furious not truly knowing how he felt about peasants. Since most kings before him hated when royals and peasants would mingle with each other. To her surprise though the King was more than excited to have a child around Morgana's age so she could have someone to play with and told her that she should bring him from that point forward.
Over the next few everything only got better. Morgana and Michael had grown a strong bond, being each other's best friend. At seven years old Michael was chosen to become a Squire because of his families legacy as knights in the past tracing back all the way to the first king of Mantalorna. Which was a big deal since his family had been purely bred knights ever since. Though since his father was dead it meant that a lord or lady would have to Sponsor him which is when the second surprise came. King Adhémar Leonidas himself sponsored the boy allowing him to have the best equipment needed for his training.
Once trained in all things combat and survival from the knights who were given the job to teach the new recruits. Michael made sure to go to his best friend Morgana how to fight for herself and how to take care of her sword whether it be proper cleaning or sharpening the blade.
Years later right before he was officially to become a knight he bought her a necklace one to symbolize their necklace it was a custom piece that looked like an infinity sign but was a dragon. Which was the symbol of the country they lived in. He bought himself a matching one in a different color so that they would always be together in case he ever was sent to war and died. Around this time was also when he fell head over heels for her. This was the year that Morgana and Michael had kissed just so they could know what it felt like. But with that kiss, Michael knew that he only wanted to ever be with Morgana though his fear of losing her, his fear of ruining their friendship stopped him from ever asking her to be with him. That and the fact that he was a Knight and she was the princess of Mantalorna.
--Present Day--
Michael Altima was now twenty years old and had proven himself an extravagant student, he had impressed the Knight Commanders as well as the Grandmaster of the Knighthood so much that they had done something they'd never done for anyone else. Instead of going from Squire to Companion-At-Arms like every other student he was immediately given the rank of Knight-Seargent. Thus giving him a platoon of around four to five soldiers underneath him. This also meant that if a war was ever to come he would be sent out on the front lines to defend the honor of his country and the monarchy who ruled it.
Michael was a handsome man above average in size standing at six-foot-two-inches tall almost eight inches taller than most men of the era with brown hair that went to his shoulders (Always pulled up in a ponytail) and piercing green eyes to say that he was attractive was an understatement. Though the man only had eyes for one woman. One who he'd never have a chance with Princess Morgana. It also helped that his years of training had helped him accomplish a body that could be compared to that of Greek Gods, muscular and chiseled as if from stone.
Currently, Michael walked up to the castle, today was the day that he had off. The day of the Sabbath and on all these days he went to visit his dear friend Princess Morgana of Mantalorna. Walking up the cobbled stone path to the massive castle he knocked twice before hearing heavy footsteps coming towards the door.
The door swung open and there stood Aegis Mikels the head butler of the castle "Ah, Sir Altima go and set in the study sir I shall go and tell Lady Morgana that you are here" and with that he turned on his feet and walked up the grand marble staircase, to the left and all the way down the hall filled with pictures of former kings and famous battles until he reached the door of the princess. Knocking twice with a heavy hand he opened the door as was customary not seeing the princess but knowing that she was around he spoke "Lady Morgana Sir Altima is downstairs awaiting your presence."
