Maggie had handed the baby off to Beth, and she pulled out a knife and took off after Rick. "Rick, you don't have to do this. Our cell block's cleared out. We'll just close off all the door's again. Come back with me, please." The brunette lifted a hand with the intention of resting it on his shoulder in a comforting manner. But as soon as her hand touched him, she found herself being slammed forcefully into the nearest wall. His hand was at her throat as he pinned her there. Her eyes were locked on his and she could see very well the danger and anger that lurked there.
"Everything's gonna be okay. I know that it doesn't feel like it right now, but it will. We'll get through this, and you know it. We're strong, and we both have plenty of reasons to keep fighting, to keep living. Don't give up now." After she spoke, the young woman fell silent and waited to see what he was going to do next. She was still pinned against the wall with his hand at her neck. One wrong move and he could break her neck and kill her instantly if he wanted. She didn't bother to say anything else. But instead just let him take some time to figure out what he wanted to do.
