Name:
Gage Antonio Valentin

Nickname:
--

Race/Ethnicity:
Deity/Greek

Age:
Unknown (appears 52)

Weight:
270#

Height:
6'2"

Distinguishing Marks:
Various Tattoos

Eye Color:
Hazel

Hair Color:
Salt and pepper

Species:
Incarnation of Immortality: Death (Thanatos)

Appearance:
Gage is a well built man, epitomizing many of the Greek standards for beauty and physique. He is tall, standing a couple inches over six feet in height, and is wide in the shoulders with a deep chest. His musculature leans more toward a bulky statuesque than lean athletic, and he would remind many other Greeks of a wrestler. He carries his two hundred and seventy pound frame very well.

The man, other than his obvious physique, is also presented as a bit older than many of his deific counterparts. As a personification of Death, Gage does not have a fresh and young mortal coil. As a man in his early fifties, Gage is certainly as well muscled as many young men, but his age is apparent in his hair, which is now a salt and pepper complexion, though many feels it gives him a certain gravitas and look of wisdom. He is not balding, and his hairstyle is short, though he always keeps a beard and retains a rugged sort of look. Though not overly hirsute, Gage does sport hair upon his chest and arms and legs, preferring a more natural look than many in the younger generations who seem to wish to appear smooth all over.

Personality:
Though many would expect Gage to be a morose and somber individual, this is far from the truth and in fact the incarnation of Death is quite the opposite. As a being that knows all too well the cold embrace of the grave, Gage revels in the life he has been given and lives it to the fullest. A being that is almost hedonistic, Gage enjoys fine food and drink, the company of the opposite sex, and art in all its forms.

Gage loves the art of cooking, and has become quite the chef. Catering to all manner of tastes, Gage often visits fine restaurants to sample their wares, willing to travel long distances to do so. He also enjoys a good cigar, and has learned the process by which they are made.

Strengths:
Exceedingly kind, altruistically so
Connoisseur if fine material things
Indomitable willpower

Weaknesses:
Exceedingly kind, altruistically so
Physical hedonist to the point of distraction and excess at times
Distrusted by some others due to his incarnation

Fears:
Though Gage does not fear death itself, does not fear the very incarnation he represents, he does fear becoming a victim of true Entropy and ceasing to be altogether, which is by far a fate worse than Death

Powers/Abilities:
Like many of his ilk, Gage possesses a level of inhuman strength and speed, senses that rival many animals, and a hardy constitution that puts that of mortals to shame. Still, he does have particular gifts that he has inherited from Death itself.

Ill fated Touch:
This power must be unleashed, as the Touch cannot be used without Gage's willpower behind it. This power also will rarely affect those of equal standing to Gage, rendering it useless against other incarnations and the like. However, when unleashed his touch brings down the hand of Death upon the recipient. At times the death is swift and painless, and other times it brings a malady of some sort. Gage has no control over the manner of death, he merely is a conduit to the power of his incarnation.

Aegis of Death:
Gage, as a incarnation of Death itself, is immune to all diseases and poisons. He heals at an accelerated rate as well, healing in minutes what a mortal would take days to heal, and in days what might take weeks. He is immune to extreme temperatures, though the sorts of powers wielded by those of equal standing can still injure him.

Background:
In the beginning there was nothing, merely Chaos and Darkness. But then, as Life was created, so was Death. Thanatos, the personification of Death itself, presided over that facet of the universe. Time had little meaning to death, and all fell to his power eventually. This being true, Thanatos fathered many progeny throughout the eons. Over time, they were all eventually called back into the bosom of their father, giving themselves over to Death as all living things are wont to do.

Except one.

His eldest and firstborn son, whose true name has been lost in antiquity, still lives. A being immune to his father's touch, and who metes out his father's judgment at times, he walks the Earth as a man. He has taken a name, one of many, and goes by Gage. Though the name of Thanatos is no longer spoken with the reverence and awe it once was, death is just as much a part of life now as it ever was, and Gage still does the will of his father.

Name:
Valerie Anita Blake

Nickname:
Chronos, Val

Race/Ethnicity:
Deity/Canadian

Age:
Unknown (appears 28)

Weight:
140#

Height:
5'10"

Distinguishing Marks:
Has scars on her left wrist from an attempt at taking her own life.

Eye Color:
Green

Hair Color:
Blonde

Species:
Incarnation of Immortality: Time (Chronos)

Appearance:
Valerie is a lovely young-seeming woman that has taken on the duty of Time. Though often thought of as Father Time, her role has not taken any of her feminine power but instead given her personal strength she didn't know existed within herself. Though beautiful in life, Valerie has become quite a vixen in death. She has taken life to the fullest and lives perpetually with a new light in her eyes.

Personality:
Valerie, upon initial meeting, typically seems to be very distant when speaking with people. She will drift off in conversation and seems to be thinking of a lot all at once. Though she is kind, she is a rather blunt person and doesn't really understand how to sugar-coat her wording. She comes across sometimes as vain, as she cares a great deal for her apppearance and works hard to stay beautiful. Overall, she isn't a terrible person and is rather kind but she doesn't seem very approachable at first glance. She is sexually rather aggressive with her approaches and doesn't enjoy mincing words. This is something she learned after death and not before it.

Strengths:
Can see mulitple different futures and can sometimes predict which is most likely
Immune t human sickness and disease
Can pause, speed up, slow, or reverse time at her will

Weaknesses:
Lives backwards (see powers/abilities)
Still holds onto human fears
Can be killed, though it's tricky

Fears:
True death. Though she has by all means died once before, her soul has not been reaped by Thanatos and she fears the day it will be taken.

Powers/Abilities:
As the Deity of Time, Val is able to manipulate time to her will. She can stop it for short periods or turn it back as she sees fit to get a desirable result. She works most closely with Fate and Death, though will dabble some with Gaea (Nature).

Hourglass
A grand tool of Time, the Hourglass is what permits for her to manipulate time at her will. It can be made to be any size that she wishes and is filled with golden sands. To manipulate time backwards, she will make sands from the bottom return to the top. To stop time, the sands stop flowing.

Cloak
Her cloak gives her the ability to not be affected by the change in Time. While everything else moves backwards, she will be protected and be able to move forward. She can extend the protection of the cloak to cover others, but rarely employs this unless necessary.

Living Backwards
Time is an odd Incarnation in the fact that her life is constantly lived backwards. She will only hold her Office for as long as her human life was - 28 years. When she reaches the point of her human life's creation, she will have to pass her Hourglass off to another human. This is advantageous for her in the fact that she sees all the futures that could be but is forever in surprise when others don't know them as well. This also causes issues with her relationships as she remembers things that already have happened as opposed to their memories of her, which are less.

Background:
Born human, Valerie lived a rather happy and quiet life in Canada. Unfortuantely, her parents sacrificed home life for working to provide for their child financially. Valerie grew up with emotionally distant parents and didn't learn to connect. Until she met Derrick. Derrick was the love of her life and a charmer, a man older than her by 7 years and well-spoken. He conned her into his bed when she was just seventeen and had her dangling by a string at his heels until her untimely death at 28.

Derrick convinced her to sink all of her savings into his business plan, which she later found out to be him having sex with other women. It wasn't until he accused her of making him cheat that she lost herself completely and gave up on her human life. Desperate to end her own selfish suffering, Val made an attempt at her own life. She was moments from true death when an hourglass seemed to appear from nowhere and she felt compelled to touch it. The Hourglass saved her from a true death and sent her to Purgatory to learn about her new status as Chronos.

Though she initially balked at the idea of being in control of Time, she found it fitting to watch as her past was written and watched the events that lead to her death unfold in front of her eyes. Her first few years as Time were tricky as she learned to deal with the other deities and finally came to terms with her new life. It is confusing, at times, considering she lives her life backwards, but she finds she enjoys her rather solitary life as Time as it gives her a chance to focus on herself. She works now to love herself instead of pouring her love into someone else and she has formed a somewhat infatuation with a much older deity, Thanatos.

Name - Naomi Lee

Nickname - Aresia

Age - Unknown, looks about 22 perpetually

Weight - 120

Distinguishing Features - She has a long, twisted scar running along the back of her calf from a battle against one of the other immortals

Eye Color - Brown

Hair Color - Black

Species - Incarnation of Immortality: War (Ares)

Appearance - Pretty much the last thing you would expect the Incarnation of War itself to look like. Naomi is small and quiet-looking. Her hair is kept rather traditionally styled and her dress is usually more sexy than battle-ready. None of that really shows her true persona though.

Personality - Naomi is a complete firecracker. She cares little for looks, manners, or even politics. She speaks bluntly and honestly. She's quick to the point and has little patience for the timid or stupid. When it comes to those around her, she only really respects aggression. She wants people who know what they want as much as she does. In bed, she likes the fight for dominance, though she takes that fight seriously, whether it be physical, sexual or verbal. Despite all that, she enjoys being beaten quite a lot - maybe as an alternative to the ceaseless victory she experiences in the battles she takes part in.

Strengths - Naomi is a martial expert. If she wants to win a fight she will, though she knows how to play to the skill level of her opponent and often will to make the fight more interesting.

Immune to mortal attacks and disease.

Wherever a fight occurs, she can appear at will, no matter the scale. She is the incarnation of war, after all.

Weaknesses -

Couldn't read a room to save her life. Also pretty easily manipulated by most of the other incarnations.

While she can't die from her wounds, she can suffer in great agony from them. She can spend entire days after a battle in great pain and agony.

Her limitations are pretty human. Ropes or chains are going to restrain her like any other human. In short, she's easily tricked and easily restrained. if she's off her leash though, she's the most terrifying being alive.

Fears - Dinner Parties. In all seriousness though, she's perpetually afraid to show weakness. For example she likes to be the more submissive partner in bed, but she doesn;t like to admit it. It goes against her persona that she's crafted over the years. She also tends to resent or at least begrudge intelligent characters.

Powers - She is invincible to any physical wounds as the incarnation of War. While she could be broken mentally or restrained, she can never really be physically killed.

Spear of Ares - At will, she is able to call to her a spear of immense power and accuracy. It can pierce the toughest armor with ease and hit a target from hundreds of feet away with pinpoint accuracy. It also returns to her hand after it's stopped flying.

The Chariot of War - Naomi can ride this into battle anywhere, no matter how far away that battle is. She will arrive down from the sky, her flaming horses charging her headfirst into the battle and her angered face the last thing any man who opposes her sees.

Background -

Naomi has been around ever since the first man has raised his fist against another. She can't quite remember when that was, but she has spent most of her life charging headlong into battles, and the rest of her days nursing her wounds. She often chooses the inferior side, just to make the sport that much harder. Nowadays, her presence is more rare as outright battle have seemed to fade from the world, and she's found herself growing more and more bored with the world as it stands.
