And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying "Come and see."
And I saw, and behold a white horse. And he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him. And he went forth conquering and to conquer.
And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say "Come and see!"
And there went out another horse that was red. And power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the Earth, and that they should kill one another, and there was given unto him a great sword.
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say "Come and see.". And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say "A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny, and see thou not hurt the oil and wine."
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth beast say "Come and see."
And I looked and behold, a pale horse! And his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given over the fourth part of the Earth, to kill with the sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the Earth.

War. War never changes....
It was in the year 1988 AD that a bloody and violent coup overtook the government of the Soviet Union, forcibly removing Premier Mikhail Gorbachev from government and instituted a more hardline and overtly totalitarian communist regime not seen since the days of Joseph Stalin. Ramping up the arsenals of the Warsaw Pact, the Soviet Union and her Eastern Bloc allies declare war on NATO in 1992 AD and invade West Germany, which culminated in the Second Battle of Berlin. War breaks out in the Korean Peninsula and Japan formally revokes Article 9 of their constitution, officially rearming the country to fight North Korea and the Soviet Union alongside the American, Australian, and South Korean forces. China remains neutral, staying out of the conflict but extensively securing the borders with North Kore and the Soviet Union.
World War III has begun in earnest and the lights are going out all across Europe and indeed, the entire planet.....
By 1996, the DPRK is defeated and Korea is unified under the rightful government of the Republic of Korea, but in Europe the fighting continues and has ground down to a bloody stalemate as both NATO and the Warsaw Pact fight endlessly for control of Central Europe and Eastern Europe, inch by bloody inch.
By the winter of 1999-2000, the NATO forces make a breakthrough and fully capture East Berlin and a good chunk of East German territory following the Third Battle of Berlin. But it is nearly a Pyrrhic Victory as by this point the war has ground on for so long that the global economy has collapsed, resulting in mass civil unrest and shortages of goods everywhere from Los Angeles to Moscow and a breakdown of military command structure and communications. Formal command and unity barely exists beyond the platoon level on both sides of the war, and both marauding and banditry are rampant all across Europe.
It is now the Spring of 2000 over at the front lines in the European Theater of Operations.
The snow has melted and the flowers are blossoming, and your platoon gets a call from their direct superiors in the NATO high command. All it says is this....
"You're on your own now. Good luck."
Alright, this is a military-themed survival sandbox role-play set in an Alternate History scenario where the Cold War goes hot but does not go nuclear, and triggers a global socio-economic collapse. You are assumed to be NATO soldiers operating in Europe on the front lines when your unit gets the call that the higher-ups have abandoned you and left you on your own.
The map is a vast territory stretching across Eastern Europe, comprising of East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, and parts of the Soviet Union (specifically Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, and the westernmost parts of Russia).
Your enemies are the Soviet Army, along with their East German, Polish, and Romanian allies. There's also bandits, raider punks, terrorists, and marauders who pose a threat to your safety as well. Your primary goal is to survive long enough to hopefully find a way to get back home.
You can be from the following military factions...
United States Army
United States Marine Corps
British Army
Canadian Armed Forces
French Army
Italian Army
Norwegian Army
You can also be an enlisted grunt or a commissioned officer in your squad or platoon. I will be using a generic rank structure for the ranks. There will be a limit to the amount of commissioned officers available for players.
