A pale blue light filled the room. The young man's pale face looking ghostly as the old school terminal shined in his wide eyes. A half dozen interfaces flickered and moved, their contents being scanned through quickly and discared or changed in his desperate search. His name was Yiki, a cat tailed extraterrestrial quite a long way from his home planet. What was he doing spending so much time on the computer instead of out enjoying one of the largest trade federation cities on a day where the radiation wasn't dangerously high? Looking for a room mate.
Yiki had just lost his most recent roommate when the other had gotten an offer to colonize a far away planet. And so here he was, with an empty bedroom and nobody to talk to. And he wanted to change that. And what better place than online to find someone who could ease that boredom? Dozens of potential candidates were thrown aside because of various reasons. Most were because they felt fake, or suspicious to say the least. Until he found the most recent one. Interestingly enough, it lacked a picture, where as all the others this one did not. That fact was both alarming and interesting, and Yiki couldn't help but be intrigued as he read further. He would send a message with pictures of the modest two bedroom apartment, with the explination that no rent would be needed as long as they were willing to take care of the house like she, if she was a she, offered. Eagerly he waited a reply, to see if this person was interested as well.
