It was a dark and stormy night. A car frantically drove along the twisting roads in this mountainous area as boiling black clouds swiftly stalked it down these empty roads. The driver kept here eyes on the road, with a glance back toward the rolling mess gaining on her. The GPS blinked back at her. Recalculating, recalculating, recalculating .
Then, it appeared. There in the distance. In a grotto along side of the mountain. An old style Victorian home. The lights were on. The place looked well kept and habited. Then...the worse happened. The almost brand new car sputtered. It heaved and coughed. The car jerked forward, then again onto the driveway of the home. Then with one last gasp all of the lights went out and the vehicle died.
A crack of thunder overheard heralded the release of the rain. Heavy globules splattered the windshield with safety only feet away. Dare she risk running to the house or should she shelter in her broken down car? Using her cellphone she can see no bars for reception. What a choice to make at this time.
