Moses's phone alarm went off as rays of light poured in through the window, stirring the sleepy male into consciousness. Rubbing his eyes, he slowly sat up in his bed and stretched his arms up into the air, letting out an impressive yawn. "Good morning Gloopy~" He muttered out loud, assuming they were sleeping in their usual spot underneath his bed.

It had been roughly two weeks since their fated encounter. Moses was trying to take his morning shower when no water would come out of the nozzle. It took him a bit of fiddling with the bathtubs faucet handles to finally get it to work again. Hot water wasn't the only thing he would be showering in though. First rather, he was hit in the face with a bizarre pink colored ooze. At first he thought it was some sort of gross sewage, but upon further inspection he'd find that it was something much more extraordinary. This mass of goo, which was big enough to fit in the palms of his hands held together, had what appeared to be a set of eyes and was in fact capable of moving around on it's own! Naturally, he was quite started by this discovery. However, he would find that this little blob was virtually harmless. He was so very curious that he, against his better judgment, decided to keep it as a sort of pet. He would feed it daily, quite a few times in fact as it had quite the appetite, and would let it accompany him during his day to day tasks. He gave the quirky creature the admittedly not so creative name "Gloopy", and the two formed a friendly bond rather quickly.

However as he got out of bed and checked underneath it, the little pink blob was no where to be seen "Gloopy? Where are you buddy? Heh, I bought waaay too much breakfast food at the grocery store to eat all by myself you know.."

Mia had been living in this human's home for about two weeks now and while it was nice to have a roof over her head and food being given to her, she was a bit cautious about letting herself fully return back to her normal self simply because she didn't know what his intentions were. Granted Slime's were not common in the human world, in fact many of her kind had adapted the shape and outlook of a human to blend in as much as possible. Mia had been one of those to try and blend in but an unfortunate rain storm on her way home from the store had caused her to loose her footing and fall into a stream that had quickly grown in depth. Slime's were immune to a lot of things but water was a big problem as it caused the slime of their bodies to dilute and thus sapped away a lot of their energy.

So with that happening as she was trying to swim to the shore, she simply didn't have the strength to do anything and thus fell unconscious. Her body then returned to it's natural default state of being a small blob to conserve energy. When she came too, she was stuck in a pipe which coincidentally happened to be Moses's shower head. Over the course of the next two weeks after his discovery, Mia had grown to appreciate the human a bit more and trust him. It seemed like his curiosity had been the main driving force to him keeping her and just letting her stay like some house hold pet. Though the name he'd chosen for her was less than flattering.

Sitting in his living room, Mia had chosen today to take on her larger form. She'd eaten enough food and rested long enough that she was able to bring out her more humanoid form. Sitting on the couch for a long moment she debated whether or not to show Moses. How would he react? Would he still be curious of her and interested in her? Would he see her as a danger now that she was bigger? Stuck in her own little world of worries she didn't even process what time it was till she heard that ever present alarm of his which made her cover her ears from how loud it was. Wincing a bit as the alarm sound shattered the silence of the house she sighed as she stood up. Walking to the door of his room she heard him mentioning food and smirked before pushing the door open.

"You know. That alarm can rouse the dead. Good morning Moses...Also. My name is Mia, not Gloopy. Of all the names you could have picked...you picked the most unappealing name imaginable."
She said as she crossed her arms under her breasts and just pouted at him as she watched the clear shock and question hit his face, but her words seemed to be sinking in too, so maybe that would hint of who and what she was.

Moses certainly wasn't expecting to see such an unfamiliar figure just waltz into his bedroom so casually. "Bahhh!" He cried out as she startled him. Such was his surprise that he actually fell backwards onto the floor, hitting his head against the wall on the way down. "Ahhh geeze..." He muttered as he held his head with one hand while using the other to support himself as he sat back up. After a brief moment of recollecting himself, he looked back to the pink slime girl who had entered the room. "Ahh geeze, don't scare me like that. What's this about now? Who are you and what are you doing here in my house?" Now that he took a minute to actually look at her, he could see that she was no ordinary person. She seemed to be made up of some sort of pink slime substance, not unlike a certain blob he know. Then he recalled what she just said moments earlier. "Wait a second, G-Gloopy? Is that you? Am, am I still dreaming?" He clutched his head some more, realizing that he would sustain a nasty bump that wouldn't be healing any time soon. "No, no definitely not dreaming. Ow..."

Mia watched him through the series of less than graceful moments and as he seemed to be collecting himself she placed her hands on her hips and huffed. Demanding why she was in his home when he's the one who kept her there? She was about to open her mouth when that damned name left his mouth again. Narrowing her eyes she walked over to him and reached out but instead of a hand grabbing him, her arm extended like a rubber band and coiled around him. Lifting him so that he was sitting on his bed, closest to her. Uncoiling her arm she pointed at her chest.

"Mia. My name is Mia. Not Gloopy. That is such an unflattering name. I may be a slime but I'm still a female, learn some tact will you."
She wasn't angry, she was pouting. It wasn't a nice name for a female. Maybe a male but not a female. It was degrading if anything. Sighing a bit she reached behind his head and placed her hand on his bump. Using the slime she drew out the swollen muscle and eased the inflammation of his skin so that the bump was significantly lessened. It wasn't gone, it was just way less painful. Removing her hand she crossed her arms over her chest and glared at him.

"I wanted to say thank you for helping me but please stop calling me Gloopy."

Naturally, Moses was a little shaken up by this sudden and unexpected turn of events. He wasn't necessarily frightened, just very confused. "Woahoah!" He let out as she approached him and extended out her arm, wrapping it around him and lifting him up onto the edge of the bed. She repeated what she told him earlier and this time, it actually registered in his mind. "M-Mia?" He echoed, doing his best to take all of this in. He could see now that she was visibly annoyed by the nickname that he had given her. "So your name's Mia, o-okay." He said to her. "I'm sorry about that. I uh well I didn't realize that you already had a name. Or that you could talk for that matter."

He winced a little when she reached back and placed her hand on his head injury, expecting it to hurt. To his surprise and amazement though, he could feel the swelling go down and the lingering pain fade away. He placed his own hand on the bump when she removed hers, rubbing it and seeing the healing effect for himself. "Woah.." He softly muttered. He turned his attention back to her, a million questions swimming through his head right now. "So, it really is you then. Forgive me if I'm being rude, but what happened to you? Just yesterday you were a small little blob, but now you're much bigger and shaped like me. Also talking, I didn't notice any talking until now."

Mia sighed a bit as she heard the slew of questions. A fairly small amount given the overload of information his brain was processing at the moment. Looking back she sat on a chair and looked at him for a moment.
"Last month's rain storm had caught me by surprise on my way home from the grocery store. We slime don't do well in large amounts of water as it'll dilute our slime and sap all strength from us. Physical and magical attacks won't work on us. Find a big enough body of water and we're toast. Still, I reverted back to my default size to save energy and strength which is that small glob you oh so affectionately named."

Leaning back she motioned to the bathroom.
"I got trapped in the shower head and there you have it. I stayed in that size till I was strong enough to hold this size. We return to default stages when we're weak so we can pose as less of a threat and hide a lot easier. We can't talk and we can't attack, but we can hide very easily. Since you were feeding me and letting me move around, it helped me gain enough strength to return to this form. So for that, I thank you...even if you weren't intending to help me return to my original form."

Mia did have a home to go back to. Nothing special but it was a home none the less so if he decided that he wasn't wanting a slime girl in his home and preferred a little glob of slime, she'd just head home and chalk this off as an accident for not paying attention to the weather.

Moses listened intently as she explained her plight to him. Ever since he had first met her in his bathroom, he had wondered quite a bit about the pink slime's origins and how it managed to end up in his shower plumbing. He never would have expected her story to be as elaborate as this, though then again he wasn't sure what he would have expected at all considering the already unusual circumstances. "Oh yeah, I remember the rain storm. It was the biggest down pour we've had around here in a while. So you could have actually died? Goodness, that sounds dreadful." He said to her.

This was all so very fascinating. He had no idea that such fantastical beings could exist! It made him wonder what other sorts of creatures might be out there. She did mention magic just now after all. Perhaps she could tell him more about these things. But that could be saved for later, right now there were other things that should be addressed. "Well shoot, I guess it's a good thing I found you when I did. I'm er, sorry if I offended you at all these past few weeks by treating you as a sort of pet." He paused for a moment before continuing. "But hey, are you feeling alright now? If you still need to rest here some more, you're more than welcome. I can fix us up some breakfast if you'd like." He offered her a genuine smile, she may not have been the smaller pet-like companion he previously thought her to be, but she was still his guest and was possibly still in need of help.

Mia sat there for a moment and watched him, the look in his eyes told her everything she needed to know. He was excited. It wasn't uncommon when a human learned that there was way more to their world then just humans and animals. However as she sat there and he offered her food and housing as well as asking if she was alright she raised an eyebrow. Well he at least asked if she was alright. Moving her leg from the left crossed over the right, to the right crossed over the left she closed her eyes and contemplated things for a moment. Technically by her races law, she was to offer her services as a companion. He'd shown her compassion and hospitality when she was at her weakest. He'd saved her life so she was to stay until she could return the favor.

However this wasn't the old days and he hadn't done it out of the goodness of his heart, knowing what she was. He'd done it out of curiosity and probably a hint of loneliness. Still, laws were laws and if she didn't do this, it would be chewing away at her mind. So with that she slipped down from her chair so that she was on her knees in front of him and put her palms on the floor in front of her. Lowering her head for a moment before speaking.
"You have saved me from dying human. Thus I am bound by the law of my kind to stay by your side and serve you until the debt can be repaid. A life for a life."
She said in a neutral tone, almost like she was reading from a book. Looking up she gave him a small smile.

"Till your life is in need of saving, I will be staying by your side to guard you as well as serve you how I can."
She said as she stood up and looked at him, and before he could speak she tacked on the last bit.
"You can deny this all you want, but it won't change that I am your guardian until I can repay the debt."

Moses tilted his head quizzically when she got out of her chair and onto her kness, sort of bowing to him. When she had finished her announcement, he was more than a little taken aback. Offering her to stay here with him until she was one hundred percent well and recovered was one thing, but this? Well this was something else entirely! "W-Wait a second, what?" He he said to her, not at all on board yet with this sudden development. "H-Hold on, that's a law for your kind? As in, you could get in trouble if you were to refuse? That sounds a little extreme..." It seemed more like a custom or a code of honor than a law that was meant to be enforced. Did the slimes in question have any sort of say in this matter? Even having saved ones life, it seemed somewhat unfair to have to serve them for an undetermined amount of time..

"I-I mean, I don't want to be rude so no offense or anything! It's just, well, is something like that really alright with you? Being forced to stay here with me? Cause well, I'd feel really bad, horrible even if I was keeping you here against your will because of my actions and this law..." Moses was genuinely concerned for Mia now. It's not that he wasn't opposed to the idea himself. He had enough space here for her, and money wouldn't be too big of an issue. And truth be told, he did indeed appreciate the companionship whether she be a small blob or a.. actually rather attractive humanoid slime. But that didn't matter, what did was how Mia herself actually felt about this.

Mia just looked at him as he spoke and shrugged.
"It's law. Our race as a whole doesn't have any real specific role, we're more sort of wanderers. So this is a way to give us some purpose when we have nothing to do normally. This is the fifth city I've lived in."
She was almost three hundred years old now so she had to move a lot so no one got suspicious of why she wasn't aging and growing older like the rest of them. It was a rather lonely life true but it wasn't anything she wasn't used to be now.
"Whether or not it's something I particularly want to do isn't up for debate. It's not like I have anything terribly important going on. We just kind of exist till something comes along. Saving the life of a slime is actually rather hard since we're so hard to kill, so it's not an everyday event that someone saves our lives."

In fact so far in the history of her kind, only about fifty Slime's had been saved and of those fifty, about half of them found mates in their rescuers. Mia didn't think that would happen in her case simply because she wasn't looking for a mate. Sure it may be fun to have sex with the human since he was young and from what she saw in his shower, he was gifted but other than that, she wasn't too worried about anything coming up. As she was thinking of this she felt her stomach growl and blushed a bit.
"You mentioned breakfast?"

Moses scratched the back of his head unassuredly as she went on to explain some more. "Oh, i-is that so?" He said blankly. He was very surprised by how calm and uninterested she seemed to be at such a prospect. Having one's life saved and then becoming obliged to stay and guard them for who knows how long until they can repay the favor, well it seemed like it would be a pretty big deal to him. She even told him that it wasn't a very common thing to happen, and yet she seemed almost bored by it. "So, you really don't mind any of this? Just suddenly having to live with a guy that you hardly even know? I'm sorry it's just, gosh.. This is a lot to take in.."

When she brought up breakfast again, he smiled a little. "Oh uh yeah, no problem. Having a new room mate is going to take some getting used to, but cooking breakfast, that I can handle heh." He motioned for her to follow him into the kitchen, pulling up a chair for her at the table before turning on the stove burner and setting about getting things ready. "So, you said that you had an actual home right? After we eat, we should probably swing by to grab some of your things. I mean, if you're going to be moving in you should at least be able take your belongings with you, yeah?" He said, trying to make conversation with her.

Sitting at the table Mia smirked.
"I know quite a bit about you. I've been with you now for two weeks remember. Just because I couldn't talk doesn't mean I couldn't learn or see. You took me just about everywhere with you. As she said this she gave him a once over, her eyes focusing below the belt for a little while.
"I've also seen quite a bit of you. Though I will admit, for a male who's single and at an age where sex is legal, you're not very active in that area."
She said as she shrugged. When she was able to have sex, she was always on the prowl for someone to fuck. Her sex drive was rather high when she was younger. She had a bit of a tolerance now but she still enjoyed sex.

"As for my clothes, I can go and get them, if you have something you need to do today you don't need to tag along unless you want to. The home is nothing special."
That and it was rented out to her by another slime so she didn't have to worry about rent since their kind had been around for quite some time. Hell Mia was technically a millionaire with how many priceless artifacts she could easily sell to a museum but she only sold what she had to to live comfortably.
"How much is your rent for a month?"
She asked as she simply watched him as he cooked.
"Utilities and other things included."

Moses chuckled a little as he sprayed oil onto a frying pan. "Ah, right heh. I forgot that you and Gloopy were one and the same. Again uh, sorry about that name. Creativity was never really my strong suit. I sorta just went with the first thing that came to my head" What she said next made him almost burn his hand. "Wait, wh-what?! What is that supposed to mean?" He turned to her, blushing rather deeply knowing exactly what she meant. Was she, flirting with him? She wasn't wrong, Moses never had much of a romantic life. He wasn't even sure why. He wasn't too terribly awkward around girls or anything and he knew that he was actually fairly good looking. He had to admit though, getting a better look at her she was actually pretty sexy herself! Even though she was made of slime, she was rather shapely around the chest and hips. He wondered if it was weird for a human to be attracted to a slime.

He reluctantly turned his attention back to his cooking, unsure if she would push that particular subject any further. He was perhaps even more unsure if he wanted her to bring it up again. "O-Oh, well I just sorta thought that I could give you a ride is all. I won't be busy today or tomorrow. Where do you live? Is it far?" When she brought up rent, he thought for a moment. "Oh well, I guess roughly it comes down to about 450$ a month. Like I said, money shouldn't really be an issue. It certainly would be helpful if you wanted to pitch in though. Do uh, do slimes have jobs?"

Mia stood up from her chair and walked over to him, morphing her body so that her slime took on the color of human skin, so she looked like a regular human female standing in front of him, naked as the day she was born. Running her hand along his hip and pelvis.
"It means you don't give yourself a lot of attention do you? Aside from the one night where I heard the bed shaking quite a bit, and it wasn't cold that night either."
She said as she smiled a sly smile to let him know she knew what he was doing that night.
"Should you ever need help with your late night activities, don't be shy to ask for help."

With that her body turned pink again as her slime color returned and she backed away from him. Leaning a hip against the fridge.
"We do have jobs but I've been around for almost three centuries. I have a lot of priceless goods that I sell on occasion. A museum pays rather well for a pot that I bought for one copper coin. Anyways. I'll handle this years bills as payment for staying here."
She said as she took his phone and typed in her address into google maps showing that she lived about fifteen minutes away.
"This is where I live. It's not too far."
She said as she held up his phone and showed it to him.

Moses's eyes widened a little as he watched Mia change the color of her skin like that. That was certainly new. This must have been how she was able to blend in with a human populace without causing an uproar, or at least that's what he figured. Either that or she lived amongst other slimes however common that may be. It was rather distracting how she took on the appearance of a naked women, though he supposed that couldn't be helped with her lack of clothing. What she did next made his eyes widen quite a bit more however. He shuddered a little as she traced her hand along his body, almost burning himself a second time. His face grew an even darker shade of red than before. Yeah, she was definitely flirting with him. "Oh shi-" He muttered out thinking of the aforementioned night. "I-I uh, I'll k-keep it in mind..." He turned his body away from her a little, trying to hide the erection he was starting to get.

He gulped nervously, hoping he could steer the conversation in some other direction. "Whoa, three centuries?" He repeated, surprised once more. Just what exactly was a slime's average life span? And how old would three centuries be in slime years? He almost asked her, but then thought better. She might have been a slime, but she was still a women, so she probably wouldn't have liked to be asked her age. Before he could think about that anymore though, she dropped yet another info bomb on him. "Wait wait, the whole year? Mia you need to slow down, i-is that really okay?" Geeze, it was kind of frustrating. She spoke about all this so casually, it really must not have been a big deal to her. He didn't think that human and slime life could be so radically different. "Christ, this is going to take more than just a little getting used to..."

He made a note mental note about where he would have to drive to reach Mia's place. Turning off the burner, he fixed Mia and himself their respective plates. Setting the table real quick, he sat in the chair opposite from the one she was just sitting in. He was a little too distracted at the moment to focus on eating though. "Well, it would be nice to not have to work so many shifts. I just, geeze this is so much to take in. Sorry if I sound like a broken record right now.."

Mia didn't understand his constant referral to this being too much to take in. Adapting to situations was part of being an adult. Nothing in this deal was bad for him so why the internal struggle? Human's as a race were selfish and greedy, this should have been a quick decision for him.
"It's really not that hard to take in. Looking at the pro's and con's. Pro's. You'll have all of your bills paid for, protection and if needed, sex. Con's...nothing that I can see as a negative. How is this a hard choice?"

As she asked this, her head tilted as she was genuinely confused.
"Through the years of watching your race, this decision should be a no brainer. As a race, humans are greedy, selfish, moderately intelligent and very aggressive. Taking into account how human's naturally are, this is a win win for you."
The whole time she spoke, she never once portrayed her own feelings or her own issues. She simply accepted things as they were. Turning her attention to the plate she ate her food in silence and while she did this, her facial expressions stayed the same, neutral. She showed no exterior emotions about the situation she was in. When she finished eating she looked up and sighed.

"Adapting to one's situation and moving forward with the changes is how things grow. It's part of being an adult. Unexpected things happen. There's no way of getting around it. You can either sit there and complain while nothing changes, or you can simply push forward and make the best of it. Which will you choose?"

Moses frowned a little, almost getting frustrated by how utterly nonchalant she was about this. Was this really such a trivial matter to her and other slimes? It's not that he wasn't thankful of course. Anyone would appreciate such a thing to ease the burden of daily life. He let out a sigh as he shook his head. "Don't get the wrong idea, it's not quite that. The benefits are clear and easy to understand, and I certainly wouldn't be ungrateful. But that doesn't make it any less of major change to what I'm used to. All that I'm trying to say is that it will feel strange at first."

He finished eating the rest of his meal as she went on. He gave her a little shrug, somewhat agreeing with her on opinion on humans as a whole. Human history is rife with war and discrimination amongst other things. He hoped that she didn't think the same of him though. "Well, I wouldn't say that you don't have a point there. People can be pretty horrible to one another, for the most petty or reasons no less. Of course, not all humans have bad natures. Most people I know are very kind to one another."

He stood up and gathered his and her empty plates, rinsing them off in the sink as he continued to speak. "And I can agree that accepting and adjusting to change is apart of being an adult as well as life in general. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it will always come easy. Even good things can take a bit of getting used to, you know?" He gave her a smile, feeling like this conversation was starting to go in circles. "You certainly seem to be taking this in stride though, heh. So I'll do my best to keep up with you. Now then, how's about we get you moved in?" He took out his phone and double checked the address she showed him, figuring out the best route to their destination.

Mia nodded as she looked down at herself for a moment then shrank her form into a pocket sized version of herself so that she'd be able to hide.
"Not having clothes makes it a bit awkward to travel, so this will work till I can get to my home."
She said as she simply waited for him to get ready. While he was driving to her home, she was standing on the passenger floor board of his car simply to stay out of eye sight and since she was so small, she was fiddling with a coin that was on the floor board. Picking it up, flipping it over and inspecting the writing since she was able to be so close to it.

Once they got to her home, Moses would see that she lived in a fairly empty apartment complex and that was because the only people that lived in this apartment complex were slimes. No humans lived there unless they were living with a slime by choice. Morphing back into her actual size she walked up to her door and when the door was opened the house looked very bland and not a lot of personal effects. A single chair, no television and not a single picture on the white walls. Her kitchen looked to be the only thing with the most life in it as it had a few plates in the sink and a glass of water on the counter. Mia took a moment to put the dishes in her dish washer then walked to her bedroom. In her room there was a single bed, nothing fancy. It was a full sized bed with plain white sheets, a single pillow and a comforter.

Moving to her dresser she began stuffing her clothes into a suitcase, making sure that the items that needed to be folded were, and anything else was just put where it could fit. She then grabbed her purse and cell phone, putting them and their chargers in the suitcase as well as her own laptop and charger. Closing the suitcase she slipped on a long sleeved white shirt and a pair of black leggings. Shifting her body so that she had a more human look she sighed.
"Ready. I just need to go tell my landlord I'll be gone for a while."

"Woah!" Moses was taken aback when he saw her suddenly change size like that, shrinking down from roughly as big as him to as small as being able to fit in the palm of his hand. This must have been another ability that slimes possessed. They certainly were versatile little creatures. He scratched the back of his head as he reached down so that she could climb onto his hand. "Gosh, so you can aide wounds, change color, and change size? Slimes sure do have a lot of different powers huh?" He carried her to his car and got in. He felt a little bad that she had to stay on the floor. He would have thought it to be fine if she were to just stay on his dashboard, but it would be better to be safe than sorry. He only hoped that it wasn't too dirty down there.

When they reached their destination, he was quite surprised by how little there was. The apartment complex itself was rather small and one could tell that it didn't get a whole lot of traffic. As she led him inside, her apartment seemed even more barren. She said that she had many priceless artifacts that she could sell for money, but she really wasn't kidding when she said that it was only enough to get by! He wasn't sure what to say, not wanting to be unintentionally rude. "So that's all? Guess this will be a pretty easy move then, huh?"

Nope, cracking a joke didn't do anything to diminish how awkward he felt. He just couldn't get a read on the slime girl. She had been so monotone and uninterested this whole time. He worried if she was really okay with all of this, but he wasn't sure if or how he could get her to open up. His train of thought was broken when she told him she needed to inform the landlord that she'd be away. "Oh okay then. Should I come too or just uh, wait in the car?" He actually really wanted to meet another slime to see if he or she would react similar to all this as Mia or not.

Mia looked up as she slung her bag over her shoulder and shrugged.
"You can come."
She said as she walked out of her apartment and headed for the landlord's apartment. When they got there, Mia knocked on the door and waited. When it opened a very attractive female opened the door and smiled at Mia.
"Oh hey Mia. What's up?"
"Just wanted to let you know I'm bound to this human for a bit. Got caught up in the rain storm."
The female looked past Mia at Moses and winced a bit at the mention of he rain, nodding to her she gave her a weak smile.

"I'll keep your place open for you. Are you going to be heading to storage?"
"Not today, I still have plenty of funds."
It was then that the female's hand turned purple as she placed it on Mia's shoulder and the two got very quiet as they were speaking to one another via mental link.
'Are you okay with this?'
'I don't have a choice Terra. Do I want to? Not really. He was a nice human when he thought I was a pet. Now, I'm not certain.'
'I can speak to my mother if you like...see if the old rules still hold true.'
'Please. It would be nice if I didn't have to wait for something life threatening to happen to this male.'

Terra released her hold on Mia and smiled at the male but it was a deadly smile.
"Take care of Mia for me."
The smile was a silent message that if he hurt her, he'd die. After that she nodded to Mia and shut the door as Mia walked back down the steps. Once outside Mia sighed a bit then looked back at him.
"Do you pay your bills online or in person?"

Moses tagged along with Mia to apartment complex's landlord, hoping that it would some how relieve the heavy tension that he was feeling. Unfortunately for him though the brief encounter would only make him feel even more unsure of things. It certainly seemed to start out innocuously enough with Mia bringing her up to speed on her situation. However the discussion soon took a turn into something more strange when the landlord slime placed her undisguised hand on her shoulder. Then they both just sorta went quiet for a moment, like they were lost in thought. After that she gave him a smile and it seemed like that was it. Of course, Moses was no fool and he could see that it was hardly a friendly gesture.

He was a little lost in his worries when she asked him how he payed his bills. "What? Oh uh, yeah I pay them in person. If it would be easier for you to do it online though then I can get that set up pretty easily as well.." He paused for a moment, trying to choose his words carefully before letting out an exasperated sigh. "Look, I'm not sure if I can do this. I know that you keep telling me that it doesn't matter whether you want to or not because you don't have a choice, but that's not fair for you. It's not fair for either of us really. I know that it will make my life easier, but nobody should have to become servant like this if they don't want to."

He placed his hand on his head, his distraught very apparent and visible. "Is there really nothing else that we can do about this, like maybe a loophole or something? You just have to save my life right? Well what if we go out on like a walk or something and I quote unquote trip and fall off of a bridge. Then you can be there to catch my head and save me from an otherwise fatal accident. Would that be enough to qualify?"
