I am a huge fan of the RPG exalted and I am wondering how many people here would be what to play 3rd edition. There is a lot of room for sexy, fun times in the world of exalted so please respond if you've heard of the game and would like to play it!

played both 1st-2nd editions My favorite being a fair folk but I dont think there is a book for them yet. I would be willing to play however.

Right now the only book they have for 3rd is the Solar book, thought the Dragon blooded book should be out in the next month or two.

It also goes without saying that an Infernal and Abyssal are nearly the same thing as a Solar and I'm happy to let people play those as well.

Abyssal's are easy every time you see a + turn it into a - and you have a good idea of what an Abyssal will do Infernals however their charms did not really mirror in 2nd and they did not exist in 1st But good to know you are willing to let us expand.

I am only familiar with 3rd, and yeah I am more than willing to help people convert stuff though since there will be so few player options.

I am familiar with all 3 if you want help let me know. So Infernal Abyssal and Solar are the playable options? And are all the Cast open?

All of the castes would be open as well. Think I'll set it in the south with all the craziness going on there, but wait till we have a full group. Don't get too far ahead of yourself.

I'd be interested in learning Exalted, though I don't have any of the books so I'd probably need help building a character. I'd probably go with a Solar, though I've heard some pretty interesting things about the Infernals...

Heya, i'm very familiar with 2ed and 3ed and am interested. A couple hundred hours of experience with it in my regular gaming group.

Infernalizing and Abyssallizing solar charms get weird in 3rd though. They are attempting to make those more destinct from the old bad "solars but evil" trope.

Well it sounds like we have at least 3 people plus a storyteller which is my personal minimum for starting a game. Though it sounds like two of you have more experience than me.

As for turning solars into Abyssals I'm willing to do it only because it will likely be years before the 3rd edition book is out. At their current rate we will likely see a new exalt book once a year and the one after dragonblooded is exigence.

How would everyone feel about a mostly solar party in the south? What type of character would you want to play and where would we play it?

Also is there an online dice roller out there for exalted we could use? Sorry I am so unprepared, but I honestly didn't think I'd find anyone who even knew about the game here.

I am very much interested in playing a Southern Solar, i like that part of Creation a lot.

Before i begin character-crafting, knowing the general area we will be playing in and getting an idea of the rest of the circle would be nice. I have been considering a slightly timid female Twilight Caste though.

As for dice-rollers, i don't think i can help you much there. Some Google-fu can get you several but i have never really used them much.

Would be almost inclined to make a human character who may exalt later once I learn the ropes of the 3e system, other than that possible an uneducated village night caste (so that setting changes that I have missed the character might just be ignorant or ill-informed on).

For a dice roller I find this one decent for most things.

So where would this thread go if we actually started planning a game?

First you set up the rules for the game in the Game Set Up & Rules thread. You post a thread for Character profiles in that thread. An OOC thread in that one. and then in the normal thread is where actual gameplay will happen.

Setting changes aren't actually that huge.

They toned down the whole technology-aspect of artifacts, instead choosing to focus on the mystical and esoteric. This changes the image of the First Age as well, making it less Magitech and more mystical ambiguity. The only real technology-like thing they kept are Warstriders. Because people like their mechs.

Good ol' Sol Invictus and friends are a bit more invested in the goings on of stuff than in 2ed as well. Not quite as busy with their constant Poker Night/D&D campaign/Group Masturbation and so are willing to grace their chosen with a glimpse of their divine butt cheeks once in a while. They still don't interfere directly though, letting their Chosen be their tools for change.

There's also some new factions and subfactions but most of those are unknown to those who are not directly in contact or are "in the know" in the Scarlet Dynasty.

And yet, all everything is still subject to change at the word of the Storyteller as usual.

I use this when I don't have my dice handy, but I don't know that it has a way to link to a log:

The south, ey?

What erotic aspects are you interested in?

Two concepts I enjoy are Shining Bright, a Bride of Ahlat who exalted to the Zentih Caste after teling off the major dragon blooded overlords of Harborhead in the middle of an imaculate mass. She might be fun if the enemies are interested in having som non-con fun with the PC girls.

Also originating in Harborhead is a girl currently known as Chocolate. I'll dig up her birth name if you want her full character history. Basicly she's an acrobat and courtesean working for a Guild caravan. Her actualy mission, though, is to infiltrate the Guild, discover the source of Heroine, and destroy it. :) She's a night caste, skilled at supernatural athletics and thrown weapon combat, but also a sexy-super spy type more than willing to sleep her way into the information she needs to destroy the drug trade.

Well then, here is a little concept picture for my character, the Varangian scholar Wayward Star.

I'd definitely love to play 3e, but I guess I wouldn't be totally against 2e or anything. Just a preference to give 3e a real go.
