Ashley was an average teenage girl, dealing with emotions, friends, and relationship issues. But one thing has always been on her mind- a boyfriend. She wanted a relationship where she could be given love no matter what. She's had a few boyfriends, but they were all frauds. She was ready for something more, something experimental....

The library was always an option when it came to research or just finding a good read. David, a 21-year old, decided to give the place a visit. It had been a while since he used his card to get another one or two books. He was in a mood for something scary, so he figured instead of buying a new book at a store, he could go to the downtown library and find one without much money being an issue.

David was 5 feet and 10 inches tall with an athletic form. He exercised a few times every week and ate pretty healthy. He had short black hair, blue eyes, and light skin. He used to be quite overweight just 5 or so years ago, so he was proud of the body he had. Hard work and dedication went a long way. That and finding some better food to eat.

It was a warm afternoon, so he was dressed in a sleeveless gray top with lighter gray sweatpants that fit him nicely, showing off his derriere a little. His shoes were black for the most part with white lining on the sides.

He walked into the quiet building, looking around, seeing not much about the place had changed since middle school. Approaching the front desk, he smiled and greeted the young lady present.

"Hey. I was wondering if you could possibly give me a reading recommendation or two."

Ashley smiled,.
"Sure! Well, what genre do you like? Personally, I love romance, fantasy, and drama. I can definitely help you in those areas!"

She got caught into his blue eyes, the way they sparkled and danced. She loved the way he looked at her, and she knew he was the one she needed.

"I haven't read a romance book in a while," he nodded, thinking aloud to himself. "I could look at that too. I actually came because I was in a spooky mood." He grinned. "I'm a horror freak. Know of any good ones yourself?"

Her eyes were a sight to look at as well. Some may think brown eyes aren't as impressive as more colorful ones, but there was something about them that was titillating to him. They were like ideal bedroom eyes. Dark and easy to look at.

She had a lovely face. He tried not to ogle too much considering she was looking right at him. She looked like a college student. Very pretty.

"Hmm. I haven't really read horror since reading Goosebumps when I was 8, if that even counts as horror."

She tried to think of all horror books she has seen throughout the library, especially some that most people wouldn't have known. 'It' was too popular, along with any other books written by the same man. But she was stumped.

David chuckled. "Yeah, I would think it does."

He saw she was struggling with coming up with something. He just smiled.

"Anything you can think of is fine. I could always go look and see if there's any close by I can find."

She shrugged, "All I can think of is It by Stephen King, if you haven't read that already."

She was about to suggest another book, but she realized if she wanted to make this relationship happen, she had to do something.

"Hey... would you be interested in coming over to my house later? We could just hang out, or play games, or whatever. "

David nodded. He looked around at various rows of books, thinking. "I haven't read that one. I have only seen the movie. I don't see why not."

He turned back to her. He blinked, rather surprised at the sudden invite. Wow, he thought. I don't even know her name and she wants me to come to her house.

Although it was odd to him, he couldn't help but grin, a small laugh escaping him. It was a pleasant surprise. She was a looker. This time he did let his eyes wander and take all of what he could see from behind the desk in.

"If I say yes, you promise it's not a trap? Will I get out alive?" he teased.

"Heh, don't worry. I just want some friends for a change. Apparently people think I'm too weird or nerdy to hang out with. But you seem like someone who is the same way. I get off work at 2, so in a couple hours. Will that work for you?"

Ashley knew that he was her only hope. How else would she find another guy like him?

David had a few good friends, and he was good with people, but he liked his alone time as well. It wasn't that he couldn't get with anybody. He just shrugged and thought, What the hell.

"Sure. Can I get your name first?"

"Ashley." He repeated to memorize it. It was a habit of his since he wasn't all that great with names but with a face like hers, he was sure to remember it. That and he considered it an easy name to recall.

"I'm David. Nice meeting you, Ashley. I'm curious. What made you decide to invite me out of anyone else? I'm sure you've made longer conversations with others, right? You've had to have seen lots of people coming in and out."

(Sorry, the when Incame back to Internet went out for a couple hours, but I'm back!)

Ashley asked herself the same question. "Well, it's going to sound weird, but I like you. I mean, I REALLY like you. You just, I don't know, excite me. I just felt something when you walked over."

He liked that answer. It was honest. That and it involved him being her person of interest. At least right now. He had no idea if this was a regular thing for her, but to him, it didn't matter at the moment.

Smiling, he leaned a bit on the desk and nodded. "Ok. Well, Ashley, I like you too. You're an exciting sight as well." He winked.

Ashley grabbed her phone and dialed David's number. She waited for him to answer while she sat on her bed, looking at some old magazines. She wondered what kind of things he liked. Sports? Video games? Whatever it was, she would accept it.

David had just come home 10 minutes or so ago. After leaving the library, he had totally forgotten to get a book. Oh well. Getting an invite from an attractive Ashley was far better. He went about the town, walking in various of stores just to keep active and give himself something to do. He enjoyed perusing.

He was on his laptop going through e-mails when Ashley's number came up. He answered, leaning back in his chair.

"Hey! When didja want me to come over?"

"Whenever you'd like. It doesn't matter to me. " Ashley replied.

She was currently browsing the Internet, trying to find something entertaining to do while she waited for David to arrive.

"Alright. I'm totally free, so all I need is your address and I'll be right over," said David, getting up from his chair and beginning the gather his wallet and keys to the car. He began heading out of his bedroom and down the stairs, going out the door to his Jeep.
