Nicole Fox was was a typical high school student - her grades were average, she didn't play in any sports and she really didn't party a lot like many other teens did at seventeen. She was in her final year of high school and getting ready for college, and she had already planned to start at the local college as that would be most convenient and the easiest on her and her family financially. She was going to be a guidance counsellor one day and, hopefully, end up working in a high school where she could help people like her. Her life wasn't quite as simple as she had wished - a year back, she had broken up with her boyfriend of two years. The pair had seemed like the perfect match and Jake was a genuinely nice guy but... well, the love wasn't there. She loved him, sure, but she loved him like she loved her own brother and that realization had killed their relationship. Nickie was actually okay with that - she much rathered Jake as the friend he was to her now than the man she was trying to force herself to love.
See, Nickie was gay - no one else knew that, but to the black haired woman there was no denying that she felt an attraction to women and solely women. In fact, she happened to be rather attracted to one of her friends. While she never said anything, a crush wasn't worth losing one of her best friends, Nickie knew without a doubt that she would probably go to hell and back to keep Katie happy. That made things... difficult. While Katie never had a boyfriend, not as far as Nic knew at least, she couldn't help but assume her attraction was one sided and that the pair never stood a chance as anything more. It was heartbreaking, but those were the facts - and every day since her realization, she had grown a little more comfortable with that fact.
Today was a Friday and the last bell of the day had just rung. Nicole walked side by side with her friend back to the changing room, where she stripped and hopped in to the shower. Hot water sprayed the sweat of gym class off of her body, and as she quickly soaped up she turned to face her friend at the shower next to her. She couldn't help but catch a glance at Katie's breasts but she quickly composed herself - being caught looking, especially with so many other people around, would be a terrible idea. "So you're still coming to Jake's with me tonight, right?" She asked, referencing a party they had been invited to earlier in the week. Jake's parents were out for the weekend and the boy had invited a few people over. It wouldn't be a rager or anything, just maybe a dozen or so people. Earlier in the week Katie had agreed to come with her, but Nicole wanted to make sure that she still wanted to.
