England in the year 1913. The young adventurer David Hunter was getting a job from the Queen's counsel to find a new source of riches like gold or diamonds in the Southern America, near the vast rain forests. It was exactly a chance for the young and unmarried man to get out of the boring country and find adventure and wealth in the big and dangerous world. After doing weeks and weeks of research, he decided to search in the parts around Argentina. The area was a vast forest, with all kinds of unknown dangers, where people wasn't living because of the harsh environment. But with some cleaver thinking from the British, it should be possible to make it there, buy supplies and be sure to explore the area without too much trouble.

Taking this plan completely into mind, he took off from England and after a few months of travel, he reached the country of Argentina. The people there wasn't any trouble to deal with, and he was able to get anything he needed before he continued his travels. He sought further west, and even a bit north, until he finally got to the rain forest. A few days later, full of traveling and nothing to find so far, he got to a large river. He believed that it was the Amazon river, which he had read so much about. Unfortunately for him, it was too vast to cross, so he had to follow along with it, until he suddenly got to a little spring only a few yards away from the large river. He decided to make a camp there for now.

With the camp, he had put down a tent, got some wood to light a fire, and even caught himself a few fish from the river to eat that evening. It almost seemed like a great place to settle down, though there was no time for that. Instead he broke out the map, and studied it to find out where he was now, and where he should go towards. But soon it got dark, and only the fire provided light, though it was large enough to be seen for quite a distance. He just figured that it would help keeping wildlife away from his camp, so he decided to call it a day, went into his bed and went to sleep, with the fire still on. All he thought about was on his travels the next day.

For years their land had remained untouched and isolated. It had been years since a man had stepped foot on their land. The women of the Amazon tribe worked well without men. Men to them only seemed to cause problems. Most of it having to do with their male bravado and ego. The pride and narcissism that men exuded brought the many villages, civilizations, and nations. The women of the Amazon wanted to make sure this didn't happen to them. In fact, most of the women didn't even understand what the concept of a man was. Not having men around; the older Amazonian's didn't see any real reason for telling the younger girls. It would just create confusion and anger. Women in the outside world were told to fight over men. That the greatest thing to achieve in life was a man's attention. This was a sentiment not shared with these women.

In their society, everyone had their place and purpose. Girls at the age of 15 were given their lifelong jobs. The council waited for the girls go each manifest a trait or ability. Whether it was a hunter, a builder, or cook. Although there were many jobs that required for their society one of the best to have was a protector. Their jobs were to patrol the grounds to make sure no humans were lost and somehow managed to make their way over to the Amazonian's sacred ground. Two Amazon's were out on patrol that night. Nubia and Artemis walked around the grounds spears in their hand ready to defend their land with their lives. The best friends walked together talking about the upcoming festival that would take place in the next week or so.

The two beauties laughed as they talked about who was the drunkest last year when Nubia spotted the fire. "Artemis...do you see that?" She asked pointing towards the river. Artemis tightened her grip on her spear and nodded her head. Nubia crouched with Artemis following suit. The two Amazon's moved over towards the fire their eyes scanning both the tree line and the immediate area around it. The two women were trained in every type of combat style and how to sense danger before it came. As the two women drew closer Artemis realized someone was laying on the ground asleep. She pressed her forefinger to her lips and nodded towards Nubia who knew exactly what she was thinking. The two had been trained to think alike. Using the butt of her spear Artemis hit the man's arm waking him up. Quickly the two women pointed the sharp end of their spears towards him. One on his chest and the other against his neck. "How dod you come to find this place? Who sent you man."

Nubia who was the more aggressive of the two friends poked the spear a little deeper into his throat. Not enough to draw blood but enough to make the man answer quickly. "Don't speak...we will bring you to the council and they will decide your fate. Get up." She kicked his leg urging him to move quickly. The two women lead him to their grounds. As the trip walked neither Nubia nor Artemis answered any of his questions. They only knew men as manipulative and cunning. They lead him through the town and to the council's hut. Nubia walked to one of the guards and said "Gather the council. They need to be informed and they can decide his fate." She said looking at the man. She grabbed him by the shirt and walked him into the hut. "Kneel before the altar. The council will be here momentarily."

David felt the poking in his sides when he slept, and woke up to one hell of a surprise. Two Amazonian's looking down at him, pointing their weapons and he quickly knew there was nothing he could do. This wasn't something he had prepared for. After all, they should have been extinct in this wilderness, but here two of them were, and clearly not happy to see him. So he quickly raised both hands at them, as he heard them talking to him, telling him to answer their questions. "I-I come from-" He was stopped, as he felt them forcing him to get up by kicking him before he could finish his sentence. So he quickly got up, and let them lead him to their home.

Walking through the home of the Amazonian's, David was amazed by how it all looked, and was about to stop in his tracks to look further towards their culture, before he was forced forward by his captures. He wanted to study them, to learn more and to write a paper about it when he got back to London. It would make him famous, rich even. Surely he would be knighted by the Queen for a discovery like this one. However there was very little hope for all of that right now, as he was brought into a hut, and then pushed down before an alter, landing on his kneed, as he looked up and around. The women who had captured him was standing behind him for now, so there was nothing he could do.

It was first then, that he got to look at the alter in front of him. It was a sacred and religious part of their culture, that much he was certain of, but in which way. he didn't believe that they were the kind of people to sacrifice to their gods and goddesses, but very little was known about them, so he couldn't be entirely sure. Looking over his shoulder at the women who had caught him, he tried to speak again. "Please don't kill me! I will leave your lands and never return. I will keep it a secret from anyone, I promise!" He said loudly, hoping that they would show mercy upon him.
