Michael:
In his Mid-Forties. He has a wife and two kids. Multiple tattoos. A very kindhearted man. He may have been a little unfaithful to his wife but he still loves her. More to come.
The last conversation that Nina had with her parents was upon her arrival from school was not a pleasant one. “Our good family friend, who desperately needs a babysitter, is willing to pay bit extra plus a ride as well. We think you should try it. We know you said you don't like babysitting but they are my friends and want someone they can trust. They've had a bad experience with other ones,” her mother said as Nina looked at them and frowned without letting out a word and saw them looking at each other before they spill the real story, “You can say no if you want….but WE KIND OF TOLD THEM OK ON YOUR BEHALF AND THAT YOU WILL BE GLAD TO BABYSIT FOR THEM.”
Nina’s eyes widen hearing what they have done and quickly she lowered her gaze as her father got up and placed a hand over her shoulder, “Look you don’t have to if you don’t want to but just try this out not for us but for yourself. Just tonight. They are our your mother's friends. Just think about it.” Her father played another card on her hoping she’d say yes, and it’s not like she had a choice after they'd given their words.
And this is what played over and over in Nina’s mind, understanding how her parents had manipulated the whole situation. Then, she thought to herself an hour or two later when her father was dropping her off across the towns, 'I have to start somewhere!!! Even though I don't like babysitting but it seems I don't have any other way out. Not today.' She turned to look outside the window and before she knew, they reached much fancy part of another town, glancing up at the two story house that was much bigger than their own.
Nina wanted to make her future bright and of course that too with loads of money to live a worry-free life. She wasn’t excited about this either because if her friends and other kids at school finds out, they’d make fun of her even more. Her father was more liberal that he gave her an option if she doesn’t like it today, then she won't not have to keep doing this babysitting gig. She thought to herself, 'Perfect! I can go today and comes next time, I can tell him no. This way I don’t even have to hear mom’s banter.' She stood outside the door after ringing the doorbell, now that her father had dropped her off and was in his car by the curbside, waiting for the door to open before he'd leave, she couldn't wait thinking of when she'd be on her way back. Sure, she'd have to wait until the couple comes home and have one of them drop her off. It was a Thursday evening, so she had nothing to worry about. Dressed in a pair of jeans, a white top with a black vest on it, she held her bookbag on her shoulders as she waited patiently.
