Stewart gave a small sigh as he looked up at the sky from his seat at the top of the hill. The afternoon sun was making the normal blue turn to beautiful shades of purple and red as the coming night was approaching. He should be taking pictures, should be trying to get another beautiful nature shot for his portfolio but... he gave another sigh as his mind was once again on Evelyn... god he could not get her out of his mind at all since she came back and he doubted that most of the students at his school could do the same. Evelyn was, to put it lightly, a goddess walking around the school, or at least everyone seemed to think so. She had always been a pretty girl before but after leaving she became pretty much the perfect everything. She won academic awards, awards for various feats of athleticism and was even a model, even as a teen she was everything that someone could be and he was... well him.
The only reason he figured he thought about her so much was because they had been close, after all she had been his closest friend before the move and they had tried to keep in contact but most forms of the now common social media were in their infancy and they didn't keep in touch much as she got more and more busy. It had been years since they had last truly talked and she had not come to speak with him since coming back. He had not talked to her either but... it was hard for him. She was always surrounded by guys trying to impress her or girls trying to use her connections to get famous themselves. or at least it always seemed that way to him.
Grumbling he sat up and actually looked down at himself. Sure Evelyn had changed but in many ways Stewart had changed way more. He had once been smaller than her and now he was a 6'4" tall giant of a teen. He wasn't all that bad looking, after all he had to get used to carrying around his equipment as he at times went all out and he had tried to at least stay somewhat in shape as he had been a bit more chubby as a kid. He still looked similar in the face though, his hazel eyes behind a pair of glasses that always seemed to have a light smudge to them even when he just cleaned them. His short brown hair was combed to be nice and neat atop his head, nothing too fancy or out there. And he was wearing one of his normal gaming t-shirts. Brushing off some of the dirt and such from the back of his jeans from his seat he picked up his camera and looked around, deciding to at least take a few shots before he headed back toward his car.
His sneakers began to fumble a bit with some of the loose earth on his way back down the hill toward the parking lot. He had gone a bit off the trail to get his picture and get some time alone. It had been a nice little hike and hell now he would have the weekend to relax back at home, look over the pictures and maybe play some games since homework was luckily pretty light, hell he had already finished most of it. However as he made his way to the parking lot he looked a bit confused. Sure there was his car, a bright red dodge caliber that had been a hand-me-down from one of his cousins. Ok it technically wasn't labeled as that by his parents but that was what it was, but there was also another car next to it. Weird, it wasn't like this wasn't an unused trail but he just never really saw anyone near this section of the parking lot as they all tended to park close to the actual trail entrance. Moving closer he wondered who it could be parking beside his car.
