Heart beating quickly as he approached the door, the boy... no, young man, did not know what to expect upon entry. Three days ago, Curtis Smith had been officially invited to the Roosterteeth Studio to fill an assistant role that had been created. Ever since Burnie Burns, CCO and former CEO of the company, had gotten an assistant, it had been wondered who else within the company needed and deserved a personal assistant. Someone to book flights and accommodations, help with work and personal items, and so on. Or at least, that's what Curtis figured the role would entail. Because despite the acceptance into the role, he did not know too much about what he would be doing, nor who he would be assisting. Would it be Gus? Matt? Or maybe another member of staff?
That's where Ellie Main's job came in. Ellie, the personal assistant of Burnie that actually encouraged the idea of more assistants, would take a leadership role in showing him how to actually perform his new duties. She had only shown up in Roosterteeth media, like podcasts and blogs, in the last few months, so he had no real expectations on what she'd be like, but she seemed very nice on camera.
Taking a breath, Curtis opened the door to the studio, thankful that there was no massive deal made about his appearance - he doubted he could handle something like that right now. Approaching the front desk, he gave a small, nervous smile. "Hi uh... I'm here about the assistant job? Curtis Smith?" He said, sounding as if he was applying for the job, rather than him already having the job. Watching as she looked through various documents on her screen, she soon smiled and nodded, before picking up the phone. "...Yep. He's here." And the phone was put back down again. "She'll be down shortly." He wanted to ask who, but decided not to, preferring to just sit down and wait for someone to collect him.
