Kassy Moon was extremely nervous for her first day at her new school. Her parents had moved their entire family out of the city and out to this small town once the news of the outbreak of the newest epidemic went viral. There was no way they were taking any chances with two young teen daughters to worry about with a disease that could alter the DNA of any female effected.

Kassy was 16 and her younger sister, Beth was 15 and a grade younger than her. The two girls sat next to each other on the bus ride into school. "Do you think it'll be cool, I mean I had a lot of friends in our old school." Beth suddenly spoke up, sharing her own anxiety with her older sister.

"Yeah Beth, I'm sure it'll be fine, we are both pretty and I'm sure we'll make friends pretty quickly, don't worry so much." Kassy reassured her younger sister, but the truth was that she was pretty nervous herself. Who knew how things would work out. Back in there old school Beth had been very popular and even been a member of the football cheer squad, and a handsome boyfriend but now that was all gone due to their parents fears.

"Are you gonna try out for the cheer squad?" Beth asked, almost as if she'd been reading Kassy's mind.

"Prolly, I mean I wanna meet the other cheerleaders first, if they are nice then I probably will, but if they end up being a bunch of bitches I'll have to find some other extracurricular activity. What about you, are you gonna join the soccer team?" Kassy asked.

"If they have one, this school district is so small I don't know if they'll have one, maybe the swim team." Beth answered and gave a nervous giggle.

Just then the bus pulled to a stop at one of the pickups. The airbrakes hissed and the bus's doors opened to accept another group of students. Kassy looked out the window and saw several girls in cheerleader uniforms preparing to board the bus, the uniforms were cute, black and orange with the word "TIGERS" across the chest.

The cheerleader climbed in one by one, each one ascending the steps into the bus. At the front of the group was a tall blonde. She was cute, long curly hair and big green eyes. She quickly scanned the bus before her eyes locked on Kassy.

The blonde let a big grin break across her face and went straight toward her. She stopped directly beside her seat, grinning down at her. "Hey there, you must be new." Her voice sounded as sweet as her demeanor. "My name's Claire, it's really great to meet you." She stuck out her hand and eagerly shaked Kassy's.

There was something sweet but a bit odd about her. The way she looked at Kasey and her sister, but she sat down in the seat across from them regardless. "It's great to meet you both. I love meeting new people, arebeither of you considering the cheer squad?" She inquired. Her smile grew only larger when her question was affirmed. "Oh you'll be a great addition to the team. Is your sister joining as well?"

The other cheerleaders has already filed into the bus, sitting and chatting with anyone around them. They all seemed tobshare that common trait, sickly sweet and that strange way of looking at people.
