Go camping, they said. Go bonding, they said.
It was a month after my wonderful honeymoon with my dear husband, when I and my stepdaughter decided to go hiking up to the XXX campsite. Or, rather, it was my stepdaughter's idea, I was an idiot, and my dear husband had a business trip so this was an "ideal" time to be alone together.
I think I would have rather been alone. And certainly not together on this winding dirty trail near dusk with no campground in site. Why didn't we go car camping??? It was that stupid daughter's fault. Her idea for a "nice long hike" followed by some camping. At least the campground had showers. Or so she said.
Oh, sure, she has a great body. I mean, I didn't exactly marry her father for his brains and personality, you know. Her hair flowing down her chest, her winsome smile, those lovely eyes, and creamy white thighs to die for. Who wears shorts when hiking up a mountain?? I'm not too bad myself. Long curling black hair, a little heavy on the curves, but I'm sure to lose them with some exercise.
