Corpses of kobolds and goblins were all over. The air smelled like sulphur and burnt flesh. SP looked around and the adventurers must have left not more than 4 hours ago, the ground was already cold, but the corpses were still not decomposing and there were no flies yet.
The trail was getting closer as SP and her scout located another recent fight, this time, a small group of bugbear, a firborg and an orc along with several knolls were murdered. Their bodies were looted and as the scout searched, they found a small village nearby which was also burnt to the ground. Young knolls were massacred and chopped to bits, possibly by a deadly magical spell.
The trail leads to a human city and SP put on her hood and waited for the others to come. The small group of non-human entered the racist city, where they were often frowned upon. As a Tabaxi, SP was constantly conscious of people staring at her.
The scout tracked the trail to a shoppe and the group entered and Tabaxi approached the merchant. "A few adventurers came by and left earlier. There were 2 elves, a halfling, a dwarf in armor and 2 humans in that group. Did they sell you anything?"
The merchant looked over and stared at SP. "Wow, such an exotic person..." He exited the counter area and approached SP. SP held her ground and the merchant unhooded her and touched her face. "Such soft fur..."
"Please, we need information, and we can pay." SP said and the merchant started touching her. As the merchant started touching her belt, she grabbed his hand and placed him in an arm lock and pulled him close. His neck was grabbed and SP tightened her grip. "I wanted to play nice...." SP said and rubbed his wispy white hair and choked him.
The merchant flailed briefly and was released. "Yes... they came, sold some gems, a battleaxe and wanted to sell a golden idol... I did not buy the idol..."
"Sorry about that, I just want to do business here." SP said and released the merchant. "Can we look at the items and we may want to buy it back..."
The merchant showed the gems and the axe. They were identified to be looted from a temple from one of the cities. The axe belonged to a Orcish folk hero. The group mustered enough money to buy back the items and the merchant was surprised he made a handsome profit. It was all business and the merchant kept quiet as the group left.
The group met the local transport company to sent the items back to the temple and SP paid some thief contacts to track the adventurers. A few days have passed and the contacts have revealed that the adventurers seemed to be buying lots of gear and left town. They also acquired a map to the shadow caverns where it was rumored that a beholder lived there.
The group quickly followed the trail, and fortunately, along the way, the bodies which the adventurers left behind were obvious, and it did not take long before they were on the trail again. The adventurers did not stop much and made their way into the caverns and destroyed everything in their path.
A drow party was murdered, along with several orcs. As they went deeper into the cavern, there seemed to be a major fight and a few ooze and slimes were slain and further up, a beholder was killed and the lair was raided. However, it was not just the lair that the adventurers were interested in, there was a portal behind and it seemed to be guarded by the beholder and it must hold some significance and only stepping through it, will they find out what is on the other side.

The adventure begins here, the group of non-humans are going through the portal to find the adventurers to retrieve lost relics and artifacts. Some do it for vengeance as these adventurers killed their families.
Character sheets here, level 13 non-human out to make things right (preferably scouts and people who can blend in)
