Several years passed ever since the world changed. Scientists discovered a parallel world that overlapped their own, and created a device in an attempt to crossover. In their attempt to create a portal into the other world, something went wrong. The world they found merged into their own, creating new landmark enlarging continents, and even marking oceans bigger. Not only that, races of different people appeared as well. In order to make sense of everything, an ambassador with diplomatic immunity from the other world was chosen to help.
Having been held captive within a cave since Triste Beere was little, she was unaware of what’s been going on in the outside world, but did feel a strange distortion when the change happened. People still come in to check on her and the treasure she’s supposed to be guarding, but because she’s considered more like that of an animal, no one really talks to her. They merely just walk in, dump the food just close enough for her to reach, and just leave here there.
Today feels a little different, though. It’s morning, but no one came to clean the mess of bones and waste left behind after she fed. Something feels very off as she awakes from her slumber, sniffing the air a bit to see if she can pick up the smell of something edible being brought up and towards the cave, but instead, she picks up the scent of something different. Starting to feel worried, she moves to stand. She stands with her body somewhat hunched over, growing lowly while bringing her hands up as she gets into a defensive position.
A large shackle can be seen around her slender neck, attached to the wall close to the pile of treasure she’s supposed to be guarding. Her clothes are simple, but worn out since her owners rarely gives her anything new to wear. She’s practically covered in dirt as well as some bruises and scratches, obviously not treated well by her current owners.
