Anyone interested in running and/or playing a game of Dungeon World with a nice helping of smut? For anyone interested but unfamiliar, Dungeon World is a D&D-esque heroic fantasy system based on the amazing Powered by the Apocalypse engine. It's rules-light and easy to pick up, and can be found here. One big advantage is that it requires little to no DM prep work, so hopefully that'll sweeten the deal for anyone potentially up for running this :p

I'll try and keep my preferences flexible, since I don't know how much interest this will get. I do favor moderation when it comes to smut--I like to have some separation between the adventuring/monster-slaying and the sexyness (at least, most of the time). Assuming this gets off the ground, I'm most interested at the moment in playing the immolator supplemental class, though I'm happy to play whatever's best for the game and the group.

Anyone interested?

Sounds nice, and the rules is really light and helpful with storytelling and roleplaying. I would gladly play, or even DM, depending on the party - it is even possible to change DM-s with time, so everyone could incorporate hers or his ideas.

BUT I think it would need some additional options or rules for the smut.

Awesome! If you're willing to possibly DM, I'm gonna change the thread title to reflect that, so we'll hopefully get more interest--let me know if you'd rather not advertise and I'll change it back.

I've never really felt any need for smut rules in games like this, but if you wanted to add some, it's super easy to come up with custom moves for PbtA.

I was thinking adding some Basic, Starting, Advanced, and Special Moves, depending on the interested parties kinks and wishes. Of course it is only needed if anyone wants to throw a dice (or 2d6 in this case) connected to anything smutty and in-game situation.

As you stated, the separation of sexyness and adventuring, is something that I can't really imagine, except if we stay with consentual vanilla sex. But real smut is much more than that...

For a Basic Move, 'Show off your Sexyness' should be an option to do before or after almost any other moves towards others. Turning a situation sensual/sexual could help, using it before leaving with a bonus, but maybe giving ideas for others or leaving yourself more open to some extra problems.

Using it after another move should be only doable if it is between 7-9, turning the partial success into a full one, but possibly turning the opening/opportunity to turn into sexual. Also, SoyS should be a Move that is usable with any of the stats, even if using Wis or Con is obviously takes more time and contact...

For a Special Move, 'Do your Sexyness' should be something with similar effect, just obviously taking more time and possibly more contact, but the effect should be more defining or longer lasting.

And of course both Moves could be personalized.

Some of the personalized versions could become Starting Moves, and things that you could build on it obviously Advanced ones - and everyone should be able to choose one of these for free, another somewhere level 6-10 for free... (but maybe one at every level, or just one every three levels...)

While I am not really sure how Cleric and Wizard spells are "memorized" (except that their combined levels cant exceed your level +1, and you are not able to cast higher than your level most of the time), there should/could be smutty, sexy spells to exist too. (Or just be variants of existing spells, or this two class could just choose extra spells as their Starting/Advanced moves...)

And let's not even start speaking about gear and enchantment and magic items. :)
 
Don't know about any "sexy times adventures add on", but if there is something like that out there, I would like to read it... :)
 
Hey there! Newbie to the site, but I have experience with Dungeon World and would be super interested to do some sexy stuff with it! Happy to see some PbtA love on the site! ^_^
 
Nice! Chris, Zeth, you still around? That'd give us enough for a full crew, I think, if Chris is indeed willing to run something.
 
I am here and interested to do that. With three characters, it can work, maybe we should choose a setting for the start and focus on getting there.

On the water? I think we can start with that lonely module setting to the game...
In a smaller village? Far from the nearest city, and with only one interesting thing/place.
Or just have the characters run into the same problem in a city or countryside?

If we can do character ideas here, I can set up a characters and a game thread in the weekend...
 
I might have an interest in this. Though I have a question, do all character have to be human, elf or other similar races or do we have a creative freedom in making our characters so that they don't have to be fully human or something. Such as I have both a Kitsune and half Dragon being who are not exactly human or would you prefer them to act as a kinda of mid-boss/main boss deal and keep the main heroes as normal people.

I'm honestly fine with whatever, so...I guess I'll cast my vote for the first one.

How sexy of a tone are you hoping to strike with this? Would, say, a nudist character be too much?
 
Was thinking that the overall world would be indifferent, jaded, or just thinking that the "heroes" could get away with anything they can get away with... So, nudist as in liking to wear nothing when it is possible is not too much. But being naked all the time is not only too much, but could be greatly inconvenient.
 
Even if said character is an immolator? Fighting unarmored is kind of a thing for them (they have a move for it), and if practicality is the issue, I think it would make sense that they could get by fine without clothes too, by the same methods. If your issue is just the tone it would set, though, then I totally get it and will adjust accordingly.

Would something on the water mean we're traveling around by ship? That could be fun.

EDIT - I'm thinking either a bard or a rogue for the playbook I'd play. I'm also totally down with including sexy stuff into the mechanics/magic/items/world that we play in.

The main population is Human, with some elves and possibly dwarves running around like in any fantasy world. There are half-elves, and maybe other half-races, and of course the usual goblinoids (including orcs), and possibly giantkin (trolls too maybe).

Dragons are majestic top level monsters, so dragon-kin is not something that usual. I do not say no, but you need to come up with ideas about "Moves" that is similar to the described moves of the playable races... I would maybe even add, that being a half-dragon is not just a race, but a class too, with the possibility to growing and getting more choices as a dragon-kin with time.

Kitsune is strictly Eastern mythology, so if you want to play one, then there would be nothing even close to your character...

Amaril:
If she gets usually "accidentally" naked, then it is no problem. If she makes her whole life around running naked... That is something that would cause situations all the time.
Immolator then? Or would you consider any other idea? - Because a half-dragon immolator for Mike is more along how that idea could work...

Starting with being on ship does not mean that we would be always on it. :)
Bard or Rogue then... - But if Mike is coming with the Kitsune idea, then I think it could be a better bard or rogue... :)
 
I can make dragon-kin a class.
The Kitsune I was thinking could play a role of black mage/white mage but i can have her as a normal race if it's easier.
 
Mike, take a look at the rules, and how/what works with the other races/classes. Then put together what makes your character different/special, what do you want to have that is not just cosmetic. Anything that is more than looks or background, anything that is an extra...

Then we will put together something usable. You can PM me...
 
Well, if I can't use unarmored fighting techniques as an excuse to have my character walk around naked, then playing immolator isn't as much of a priority for me :p Mike, you're welcome to it if you want to be a salamander.

Anyway, I think I'll play a thief, if no one else was dead set on that. Sorry, missed Nixy's edit asking for bard or thief. Hmm...I've always liked the barbarian. How about that?
 
Barbarian with only a skimpy fur bikini... or just a loincloth, as her tribe is not about hiding boobs... (cultural nakedness, no need for an excuse, just keep in mind that if she wants to, she should cover herself more depending on the situation)

Also, showing off titties all the time is a kind of non-sexual thing for her, but a sexual move against others... :)

Why do you assume my barbarian would be a woman? I mean, she would, but I didn't say that :p

Anyway, yeah, that sounds perfect. I'll make her a classic sword-and-sorcery protagonist, a scoundrel and a thief with the mortal pleasures and riches and property appetites. Good?

Uh. Hi. So, guess I should start off and say that I am sort of new to forum RP, hope that's okay.

Secondly, I haven't played dungeon world, is there a thing around that I can read? I also just figured I should've asked if I could even tag along in this before asking about rules.

Thanks, but now I'm getting into the barbarian idea, and anyway, thief and bard are a little similar to have both in the same party with so much else not taken.

Chris, let me know if you want me to close the thread to new players. I've been in touch with one more guy who might be interested in joining if there's still room, but if you think we're full up, just say the word.

We have enough people with the late comers, and should be concentrating on the setup... Can you link the "rules" of th e game to Coja?
I will have better access and a little more time in the weekend to set up the first scene.

Maybe, if you can, Amaril, you can set up a Rules, a Characters and an OC chatter thread?
