It's been almost a full year since Charlie Taylor's wife had passed away due to a sudden illness. It took both him and his twin daughters, whom in which were merely fifteen at the time she passed, a long time to adjust to their new reality. It took them even longer to accept it and be able to move on with their lives. Charlie would be lying if he said that he was over her death completely. He loved her with all of his heart, so to for her to be gone was a struggle each and every day.
Especially for his daughters.
Their sweet sixteen birthday was coming up soon. He's noticed how they seemed as though they weren't in a festive mood. Or maybe they were and he was reading it wrong. Regardless of it all, this celebration was just as important to them as it was for him. They would need a party to remember and Charlie definitely needed something to distract himself with. This party and everything that revolved around it was just the thing that he needed to get his mind off of everything.
Thankfully for everyone involved, the party would fall on a weekend - and it's in summer. So it's like a double bonus. All of their friends would be invited and any one else they wanted to come as well. It would be held at their lake house that had a perfect view of the lake. Clear and blue it was and the house was more like a small mansion. Oh yeah, the Taylor's are stinking rich, so that explained the dozens of people who were invited and the large house.
They were just ten minutes out from arriving. It was Friday, so the entire weekend would be filled with festivities of all kinds.
"We're almost there, my sweets," Charlie said to his daughters, looking back at them as he smiled at his twin daughters.
