I think the title should have made things clear enough. I plan on running a pathfinder game here. Seems to be the thing that is getting interest so I may as well put my GM skill to the test once more. The simple gist of what I have in mind is to run smaller adventures that may allow characters to drop in and out of the game as time permits. I have been playing and acting as GM in pathfinder society and I find the modules to be.. lacking. Great for a 2-4 hour session with people I will never see again, but horrible for trying to tell a story over time.

Enough of my incoherent nonsense. No one cares about that. Here is what you do care about. I plan on taking 3-6 players on smaller adventures similar to what would be found in Society missions. Characters would start with 20 points to build with. You will start at level 1, unless you pick a race I do not like and I might just adjust you to a higher level out of spite. Because I am using PFS, I will flatly deny any character with an evil alignment. I prefer potential players checking with me if you plan on doing something too out of control since I generally do not care for things that are out there in concept. That can wait until the character creation though.

I will throw this out as an initial interest check and if people have questions I should also have answers. I plan on doing everything right here in the forums. Also, I do not care to kill players off, at all.. ever. Instead I have a rule that the character is functionally "staggered" at 0 or less HP. When you are at 0 HP or less, you also lose all your stat bonuses (penalties still apply). There will also be 3 stat scores that will relate to the three ways in which a character can penetrate/be penetrated. I may allow characters to pick which ones that are vulnerable, or I may choose them myself. Once those stats are drained away you are knocked out (and possibly knocked up for that matter) to the point that you cannot continue the fight anymore.

*INT/WIS for face, DEX/CHA for ass and STR/CON for pussy/penis was what I think I used previously. Basically pick whichever score between the two you want to represent your ability to be pleasured in that particular aspect. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind at any and all times ever but that should give a good baseline of what to expect.

Aside from that little twist I like to throw in, this should be fairly straight forward Pathfinder. I may or may not allow things at my sole discretion. For now, I am only looking for a gauge of the general level of interest in the game I have in mind. Once I see a level of interest above one or two people, then I will open up character creation along with everything else. If there is enough interest, I may break people into smaller groups come adventure time since I feel like it should not be all that difficult to handle two or three separate teams running through a dungeon.

In the "world" I plan to have a communal town where any players who are not currently on an adventure are able to do what they so desire. Players that are on an adventure will be in their own isolated adventure away from every other party or players in the game. This might work, but then again it might not. I will be somewhat interested myself to see how this all works out with what I have planned.

TL;DR - This is the interest check phase. I have no problems answering questions for those that have them. Maybe you want to get a jump start on making a potential character and I am fine with those questions as well.

What about a Tiefling rogue who is more or less extra-special? I went a little overboard with her traits, racial or not... While not a new character, but maybe I can re-make for a starter one...

Dildurdrazar
Tiefling, Futa, 5', 100lbs, 17 (85) year old, Dark blue skin with scales, red hair, horns, yellow eyes, predatory teeth, feet with two forward toes, prehensile 5 feet tail
Family was like: Mystique, Nightcrawler, Nocturne, Darkchilde. Relatives living in Maelstorm... started out as an inhabitant of Axis…

My main question would be: what kind of adventures do you intend to send us on? And how would the earning and getting levels work?

I am going to say absolutely not to something like that for a character.

Leveling would be subjective, PFS essentially does it where 3 adventures equals a level up and I plan on doing something similar to that with this game. Basically go on X adventures and level up. I would say to expect a slightly lower than normal gold gain from adventures. Then again the characters are likely not going to need to bother with cost of living related issues, so that would account for the reduction in value from adventures.

PFS uses roughly about 500gp per adventure per level, so I would say to expect about 350-400gp on average instead. Then again, I might forego monetary rewards for those who end up getting any items out of the adventure. In PFS the characters turn in what they find during an adventure that is not used during it.

I would like to play as well I was wanting to do a dreamspeaker elf witch if you would allow that into your game if not then I could do something else but still probably a witch.

P.S. Dreamspeaker has an alternate trait that adds 1 to the dc of divination and sleep effects.

Well, I will make something clear. My system does not account for gender confused characters. The major reason the teifling rogue would never be in the game is because of being a futa. That breaks the system I have in place to a point that it is just better for me not to allow it as a possibilty at all. There will be no negotiation on this aspect of things. If that ends up being a turn off for some people in making a character for this game then so be it.

As for character concepts, I would say that I prefer that any character avoids any 3PP (3rd party publisher) content. Since I am assuming parties will not be "perfect" there will not be any doors/barriers that will be completely barred off because you lack a Rogue or lack a (Insert thing here). Don't worry about playing a fighter because no one else is.

@lilithsboy: I see Dreamweaver listed for a changeling but not Dreamspeaker listed at all. Do you have a link to where I can get some information on that archetype?

Hi freeko, would you allow occult classes? I was thinking going in with changeling mesmerist

Oh by the way, Dreamspeaker is in the elf description, it is an alternate trait they get instead of elven immunities

Mesmerist seems fine. It is not a 3pp class so I do not see why I would not allow it.

Changeling however I seem to have an issue with as looking through the information alot of it seems to be laden with what I would consider 3pp. Drawing from the Book of Heroic Races (which I consider to be 3pp) for racial traits. Another question I have is how would you handle "the call"?

Oh don't worry I didn't intend to pick anything from the book of heroic races ^^

As from the call, I prefer to follow my own destiny instead of looking to became a hag herself, and I'm considering going middle aged as well ^^

While my Tiefling is more of a confusing gender than being "gender confused", I can accept your reluctance. But at the moment I have no other idea or inclination to play. Diminishing that character's levels, attributes, and removing one of the defining extra would leave me with Michael Jackson just before his death - instead of him when he started his career. :)

The game will start in about a week's time. I will post the link to the beginning of the game here along with posting it in the OOC section as well.

Well level 1 is really not my favorite thing but I sincerely hope we manage to get to a higher level.

Anyway as this was not mentioned at all I wondered what about traits, drawbacks and background skills? any of these allowed?

PFS allows for 2 traits at character creation. I will add that into the character creation section as well. I totally forgot about the traits and figured it was just part of the standard creation process.

PFS does not use background skills, but if you want to have them for whatever reason then I do not see why I would disallow it. I believe the skill pool is separate for background skills so it would not interfere with the rest of the character creation process. I would allow either the "standard" skills or the adventuring/baclground split. I will leave it up to each player independently to decide what they want to do.

That is the link for the difference in background and adventuring skills. Aside from the various Knowledges, Handle Animal, and Sleight of Hand I doubt any of the other background skills come into play at all in a non rp sense.

As for drawbacks, I would allow taking one for an extra trait. You would still have to follow the rules for not having any traits that share a particular category. Combat, Magic, Social, and Faith if I recall correctly are the basic categories. I would allow a racial trait so long as it is not 3pp. I would not allow any campaign specific traits. I am on the fence with Regional traits, but I would say that I am likely to allow it so long as it fits the character. I would say that I am less likely to allow any Religion or Equipment based traits, but again a case could be made if it fits the character properly enough. The only way I would even consider Family based traits is for a changeling. Everyone else can treat Family traits as off limits.

Also, everyone starts with 150 gold flat across the board irrelevant of class or whatever the average starting gold would otherwise be.
