Oni, thats what Sanae's grandfather believes in. They are demons from the realm of Yomi that come to Earth. She have heard of the story of a demon queen that ruled them all, but died at the hands of a human hero. She heard this story many times as a child, and now that she is an adult, she has no time to listen to such tales. Sanae Asano is focused on college, she has taken Occult Studies for her Summer Course, just because of the stories she grew up with.

It is the late afternoon in Shibuya, Sanae is at a Cafe with two of her girlfriend on the patio. They are talking about what they are going to do next since the night is young, and Shibuya will be busy. She isn't really thinking about much, except for something strange that has been happening. She saw on the news that there have been a couple of murders at night around the city, mostly happening in dark alleys. It all happened this week, and she doesn't want to stay out too late.

"No...I don't think so. I should probably go home." Actually, she doesn't want to travel by herself, and her friends doesn't want to go home just yet. They decided to shop after their meal, and Sanae sighs as she goes along with it.

Mason made sure to keep out of sight of the young lady as he watched her. That's what he had been trained to do since birth. Protect the future Demon Queen but don't get in her way or let her see you. Not until it was time for him to whisk her away from this life and show her who she really was. Usually he wouldn't even be this close, only sitting a few tables behined her. But after those murders lately, he knew they had begun to make their move.

He over heard her say something about going home and was relieved until her friends talked her into going shopping. "Dammit." He cursed under his breath. He waited a few moments for them to leave before he started to follow. He was just glad the girl hadn't awakened yet or sneaking up on her would be much more difficult.

He was careful as he followed her, staying just far enough behined her that he could see her and jump into action should any of those so called hero's decided to attack. Speaking of which he had just spotted one. Some guy across the street in a trench coat. His eyes were glued to Sanae and Mason couldn't help but let out a little growl. "Well, so much for having an easy day," He mumbled. How those guys knew who had demon blood and who didn't amazed him. But at the same time it was pretty annoying since it made picking out their targets pretty easy. Hopefully he get him alone and take him out without making to much noise.

Sanae walked with her friends after they left the cafe, and are now out on the streets. They are looking at the various shops on display. She has no idea that she is being watched or followed as they move on, finally settling on a clothing store that is full of elegant looking clothing. She likes them, but she is mostly looking for jewellery, she has enough clothes at home. SO far, nothing caught her eye, and she decides to wait outside of the store to wait, as she isn't really interested. She watches the crowd, and she thought that she saw someone strange. She took a second take, but the person vanished, and she thought that she was seeing things.
