Panting, Curtis slowly made his way to the coach as he heard the whistle. For the last hour, he and his seven classmates had been worked to near-death thanks to their coach, Julia Williams. It was her first year at the school, yet she was so far one of the best coaches he had ever had. After the first semester, which ended with a rather poor loss to a rival school, Coach Williams seemed determined to get the team better.
Soon, the eight boys from fifteen to seventeen years of age stood in front of her. Despite being the youngest, Curtis seemed to be the most worked, sweat pouring from his body and drenching his gym clothes. It could have been the result of his body shape though, compared to his classmates. While a lot of them were built well, Curtis' body fit a more nerdy stereotype, a little skinnier and lankier. His shorter, thinner stature seemed to help him though, allowing him to move with the basketball a lot more fluidly than most others... not that he could turn that into points most the time, when it came down to it. He was knocked out of his thoughts as Coach Williams began to talk.
