Thanks, Given Thanks and Members Referred

On user posts, under post count there are these little ‘Thanks’ and ‘Given thanks’ counters. I’d say they are not active, or people would have been thanking each other. But I sometimes come across members who have them. I’m sure if a mod replies below, they’d have some numbers over there. So is that feature still enabled?

Also, on profile pages, there’s a thing that says ‘members referred.’ I’ve been wondering about that too Oh, and that moon slice at the right hand corner. I know it opens the chat, but I haven’t seen anyone in the white window it slides open. Is it disabled or people just don’t use it that often.

Hey there! I'll answer as best I can

Thanks: this feature is disabled because it caused problems years back of it becoming a popularity contest. It caused site wide drama and was turned off to prevent problems. The button is still visible because it can't be removed.

Members referred: this feature is active! Everyone had a unique referral link in their user CP. To refer someone, send them that link. If they register an account, it will add to your referral list once the account is verified.

Moon slice: that is an old link for the previous chat interface we had. Due to issues with the chat, we converted over to Discord. The moon hasn't been removed yet.
Discord link: <removed> the link to our server can be found inthe semiprivate area.

Also the Thanks thing happens randomly. Look at the top right off to the side of my avatar. This happened after it was disabled.
