Changing the IMAGE MAXIMUM on posts?

I haven't received a response from BMR moderators (or whoever would be able to answer this).
This issue is especially relevant now that the bumping policy has reverted back to a 2 request thread per forum rule.

Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone can explain to me why there is an image restriction per post? Currently you can only have 12 images per post (images that fall under the
tag - NOT URL links!).

I have very visual request threads and I always post character bios with an image, so having the 12 image max really hinders my ability to post all the characters on one post. Currently, I have to break up posts and end up with multi-post request threads because I can't fit all of my characters/ images on one singular post.

Any way we can increase the image count from 12 to maybe like 15, even 20? Or to just remove the restriction completely?

It exists because when we left it unlimited people would dump hundreds of images into each individual post, and once the images in a thread broke ~300, most people's browsers could no longer view the thread.

We could bump it to 20, given advances in both browsers and computers, but it isn't a random number. You should seriously consider making merged images if you intend to use more.

20 is fantastic. Huge help!

It's for character bios. I place a cropped image of my character followed by the bio underneath.
I know a lot of users who follow this format. It's solely for visual appeal, but it makes a huge difference in the the total interface of a request thread.

Thanks to everyone involved in making this change including Temptationist for suggesting it. Its going to makes things easier.
