The clouds where zooming past the windshield as the small two man pan dove through the sky. Warning lights and sounds beeped and chirped as they began to plummet down. "Hang on buddy!" Max yelled as he flipped a few switches trying to get the plane under control. Kane nodded as he tried to not panic. Though he saw the ocean as they broke through the clouds. Land was coming towards them as Max tried to come in for a landing.
Suddenly the plane lurched and a sick cracking noise broke the cabin, more warning lights flaring and they began to spin. They had lost a wind, the small craft was old and battered, it was it's first maiden flight and it seems it's last. The ground, the sky, the ocean, all was spinning. "Come on come on!" Max yelled. Kane held onto his safety strap. There was a sudden jerk and a flash of light before it all went black.
(Several hours later)
Kane awoke he had a sick ringing in his ears, he could smell smouldering reggage first. As his eyes adjusted he could see branches coming through the broken windshield, like arms trying to manage there way in and grab at him. He struggled out of his safety belt, gulping in air and trying to calm himself down before he turned to see if Max was ok. He wish he hadn't, his friend wasn;t moving, a large chunk of the windshield pierced through his skull. Kane tried not to panic, and gently went to feel his friend pulse, he got nothing. Suddenly fear, revulsion and sorrow welled inside of him, he could see his friends hands where still gripping the wheel like he was still fighting with the out of control plane.
Kane turned, pushing the hatch open and stumbling out of the plane, fresh ground and the smell of plants filled his nose. He didn;t get up, only laying down on the round, breathing, sobbing, and wishing he knew where he was.
