Tanikaze Aika was awaiting on the international area of the Haneda airport, under a small sign that pointed in a dozen languages that she was a guide for anyone reaching Tokyo for the first time. She wasn't very happy, but she tried her best to smile and look approachable so no one could say that she wasn't making her best effort. The truth was that she didn't want to be there, nor asked for such a job, but it was something she had to do unless she preferred to be charged with contempt and spend a couple months in prison. It was just the result of a particularly bad break, since catching your boyfriend with another girl was something no one would want. Aika had ended up drinking too much, then taking her car and crashing it against a traffic light. Sure, it was just material damage and she didn't even get a bump or a small bruise, but the judge seemingly wanted her to learn the lesson.
So there she was, doing some community service as a guide to avoid a huge fine and prison. Well, she had experience having bounced from job to job in the service industry, but she had never been a guide. Well, she could point the foreigners where the things were, and her English was excellent thanks to another one of her exes, but still. She brushed her short black hair and looked around with her bright brown eyes, it seemed that it was going to be a calm morning since almost no one approached her even if the airport was as crazy as always. Luckily it was her last day, but after that she would have to find a job, since the rent wasn't paying itself. She needed something that paid well, Aika was tired of being always short on cash, but what would that job be?
The twenty four year old woman sighed, it wasn't such thing. She got her hands off the pockets of her black pants and fanned herself a little bit with one of the maps she had on a small table, moving her white blouse around. It was a specially warm month of July, something that wasn't doing much to lift her spirits.
