Exploring Snypso 2EB3 (Sheena-Tiger x Tool)

What do we know about Maja? Her full name is Maja Lykke Davidsen from a family of northern Europe descent. She has trained for 5 years for this mission after being handpicked among thousands of applicants back when the Hype about settling on Mars was at it's peak. Since then the means of travel has been evolved even further and while travel between Earth and Mars was a matter of days, the possibility of traveling to other systems was given but no candidate had been found. Not long ago though, NASA had discovered a planet which had been called Snypso 2EB3. Pictures showed a peaceful planet and analyzes from simple probes launched by satellites around the planet showed that while the colors seemed odd to a humans eye there was water and an atmosphere that humans could breath.

Part of the unusual colors might be the star. It was a yellow star like the sun but something seemed off as it had a clear blue tint everyone could see or more like feel it without having the star turn into a green one. The Planet itself was covered in roughly 50% water but it was not a blue planet, more like a green and purple one as the water was rather green while the plants were purple instead of green. According to some samples collected by a robot on the ground when the lander module H.U.L., short for Housing Unit Lander, had landed, the water could be filtered and lost most of it's green color and was cleared as drinkable without any known dangers.

Today Maja was sitting in a simple chair, reading her profile in the Database of the NASA another time.

Other: Maja is not a specialist like Abigail but an expert. Foremost she is trained in survival, but as their destination is an unknown planet she is a generalist, trained to adapt to most situations. In addition she has received training in many tools to aid specialists who tend to 'stay home', so she can collect samples of all kind and conduct simple analyzes on her own or slightly harder ones with remote directions. For complicated or bigger tasks, onsite help of specialists like Abigail is needed. For safety Maja has received extensive training in unarmed and armed combat but here as well she can only be called an expert as she had to cover a lot of topics, both of body and mind, during the preparations for the journey.

It was not looking overly spectacular unlike her partner's who was with less years already a specialist in one of the hardest topics Maja could imagine, biology. But today was the big day, again, and no time to think or worry about profiles or education, today was the day they would actually set food on the surface and Maja would be the first, just in case. Her reflexes were honed, she had training Abigail had not and in case their sensors would not pick up a possible dangerous animal she could handle it. Slowly the young woman sat up, used to the small space they had in the ship, stuffed with all kind of things, unlike the station in orbit around Snypso 2EB3. But Maja had trained for almost 2 years in these close spaces, mostly keeping herself fit and honing some other skills in virtual space as there was no place for a shooting range, but she studied and learned most of the less physical topics she had to know during their flight from earth to here. The station had already been in place when they arrived and the H.U.L. was down there for around a year as well, but the people to man H.U.L. had only arrived a week ago, Maja and Abigail. Of course Maja hoped they would only be the first but only specially trained personnel was allowed to land on the surface and such a 'quick' transport of 'only' 2 years was not an everyday-thing either. The first H.U.L. was mostly a laboratory and enough space for 2 people to live in without stepping on their toes all the time, unlike in their transport vessel, and before anyone else could live down there, another H.U.L. would have to be send. With how long the construction took when they started, Maja and Abigail would be on their own down there for at least another 2 years, possibly longer as vessels with supplies were scheduled every now and then as well.

As Maja read over her files a voice came over the PA system. " Will Maja Davidsen and Dr. Carter please make their way to the Transport Lander. The Lander will be departing in ten minutes. " the voice stated before going quite leaving a small buzz behind before the speaker went silent again. Maja had to navagatie through several hallways on her way to the Lander, The walls of the halls were white, but like a metal white not a drywall white. Once she got close to the Lander windows began to appear on the walls giving her a perfect view of the planet as they orbited it. The water on the planet stuck out like a green thumb, literally, next to the mostly purple plants. If you stared long enough you could see some other colors mixed in but it was mostly a purple. One of the more noticeable spots was a large section of a yellowish tint in the middle of the largest land mass on the planet. After further analysis it was determined that this large yellow spot was a dry rocky desert. Just to the south there was a mixture of green and purple which turned out to me a wetland marsh. This where the H.U.L. had landed, on a small island big enough to keep the H.U.L. out of the water. Soon Maja had reached the Lander where Abigail was already strapped in and ready to go. A few people helped strap Maja into her seat and then did a few more system checks before exiting the lander. The Transport lander was a lot more tight fitted than the H.U.L, but then again it was only designed for a 20 minute trip to the surface. Soon a voice came over the PA system again. " We have launch in T-minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.... and we are green for go! " A man said over the speaker with a sort of raspy radio voice, after which the shuttle began to shake and move as it was propelled into the gravitational pull of Snypso. As they got closer to the planet the more violent the shaking seemed to get. Before long the reverse thrusters kicked in and began to slow and stabilize the decent. Moments later they touched down on top of the H.U.L. and the mechanisms locked it in place on top of the H.U.L. before the floor below them opened up and a ladder lowered into the H.U.L. for them to enter the unit. Abigail quickly unbuckled her self and climbed down, checking all of her science equipment that had been in the H.U.L. when it landed. The H.U.L. was split up into five sections and connected by hall ways. The center section was to be used for the storage of any samples collected from the environment along with the water purifier and as a lab. There were four halls, one on each wall, that lead to another hallway making a T shape that lead to the other four sections. The halls were all separated by a small sliding door. The other four sections consisted of a dormitory for the inhabitants, a small cafeteria for the two of them, a garage to house the transport equipment as well as some workout gear, and a small armory. There were also exit doors on every exterior section and wall of the H.U.L. incase a fire were to ignite with in the unit. The H.U.L. was made out of the strongest metal that Earth had at its disposal so they would be safe from any potential threat found on the planet. After getting the generator up and running and checking the lab equipment Abigail grabbed her personal belongings and headed for the dormitories.

Maja looked up from her files and smiled, making a fist while mouthing a silent 'Yes!', this was the day she had been trained for several years after all. Nevertheless she showed no haste when she got up and walked through the empty hallways. It was not a matter of minutes after all, the teams had still things to prepare and check, even if Abigail and her were already seated within the lander. The young blonde even stopped for a moment to look through the windows and smiled, she would be the first to plant her foot on the soil of this new planet. Knowing Abigail, the other woman would likely be the first out of the lander and into the H.U.L. but setting one out there into the dirt... that would be far to unlikely.

Once Maja had settled into her seat and thrown a smile over towards Abigail, she leaned back and closed her eyes, calming herself down. Despite her calm exterior, in truth the young woman was quite agitated. Everything was tested, every scenario anyone could think of trained, but this was the real thing. Within the hour, the lander was either crashed somewhere on the surface if anyone had made a mistake during construction or programming, or they were docked and walking around the H.U.L. Either way, there were a lot of reasons to be excited.

Roughly halve an hour later, Maja finally climbed down the ladder and looked around. The generator was already running and she could barely see the backside of the other woman vanishing around a corner, following an arrow indicating that the dormitory was that way. The blonde could not hold back a smile as the younger woman did exactly what she had expected. Knowing her next steps were to be expected as well she shrugged and made her way towards another section labeled "Armory & Gym", which hardly fit the names as she already knew from briefings and simulations. Nevertheless, it was her duty to check the equipment and this would be the most important section for her, like the science equipment was most important for Abigail. It took Maja a few minutes to check if everything was there and where it should be, armor, weapons and the workout gear as well, she had to stay in shape after all. Once finished she followed Abigail's steps, grabbing her few, mostly very practical, belongings and walked into the dormitory. Considering where they were, it was quite big, after all, the interior was quite flexible to fit the standardized construction. One of the sections was housing a garage, another a fully functional kitchen and while they had no supplies for ages, what they had had to be stored somewhere as well.

"I hope you are satisfied with the real surroundings... we have to stay here together, only us, for quite some time, after all, Abigail. And we sadly can not simply end the simulation and go back into our private quarters."
