About a year ago, a quiet, mysterious girl named Astrid moved into town and started attending the same college as the boy whom she'd eventually start dating.
She was very quiet, cute too, and hardly said anything to anyone unless you worked hard to break her shell. Riso was such a guy, being already as charismatic as they come, he was the first person to speak to her, although another boy was the first to notice her, his name was Marcus and he and Riso were somewhat friends.
And so that went on for several months. Astrid was usually seen behind or with Riso, he'd hold her hand, kiss her neck in public to force her to blush. It was all cute, and a little sickening.
Slowly though, Astrid's already small smile was starting to vanish. People noticed Riso speaking to her in a bit of a nasty mood, ever since then, things only got worse. For some reason, Marcus remained his friend so to speak, and Riso continued to regard Marcus as a friend.
It was only a matter of time though, Marcus couldn't take it anymore. Poor Astrid was suffering. He had no idea what Riso was doing or saying to her, but she didn't deserve it. At least he didn't think so.
