Jerry had seen a lot that the rest of the world would never believe existed. having spent 21 years as a Green Beret he had jumped out of more aircraft tthan most people would board in three lifetimes. If he went in on the water it was in total darkness. Almost noone knew he was there, and should they find out it he was usually the last thing he saw. He had been in 49 countries and on every ocean in the world. Now however, thanks to an errant piece of shrapnal, he saw half what the world did. He had lost the sight of his right eye, and with it, his active duty status. Now a retired Marine colonel with four purple hearts anda distinguished service medal sat at a library security desk checking library cards as the college students filed in and out. The books had never been safer. He was bored out of his skull, that is until a certain little straight haired blonde in aa black beret and a shortblack skirt with a gossamer white top strolled past and scanned her card.
Almost reflexively he pusshed a button at the desk which recorded her information. Intended to help identify criminals, he system was rabidly abused by the security staff. The practice of collecting information on pretty girls had bothered him at first, but he had accepted it up till now found the sult to be worth the effort. At she padded her way into the library, he pulled up her information and emailed it to himself. He was amazed at just how easily his conscience had made allowance for his indescretion.
