Ryan Morris
Age: 35
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 195 lbs.

Ryan Morris was a self-made millionaire. He owned a very successful company that sold consumer electronics to various businesses. He sold it a few years ago for $250 million. He took that money and through good investing he figured he was set for life. He bought 50 acres of land up in the mountains of Northern California. He built a nice two story log cabin for him to live in. It had all the amenities, full electricity, Satellite TV and Internet. He also had a live-in cook/housekeeper. But, she had recently gotten married and decided that she wanted to start a family and live with her new husband.

Ryan would go to the town every few days for food and to socialize. He had used local labor to help build his house so he became friendly with the people of the community. Even though he had become friends with the people of the nearby town, he was still a little wary of them. Some people knew he was rich, so he designed and built his own security system. But, he didn't have it connected to any security company because if any one broke in, he wanted to take care of whoever himself. One night, Ryan was asleep when the alarm started to go off. The alarm only rang in his room and he had the room soundproofed, so as not to tip off the burglar. Ryan walked over to the security cameras and saw one person downstairs, dressed in all black. He picked up his rifle and headed quietly downstairs. He saw the burglar, loading things into a bag, he pulled up the gun and said, "Freeze! Hands Up! Turn and Face Me!"

17 year old Serafina Campbell had been out on the streets for months, stealing valuables from unsuspecting homeowners, for money so she could eat, and have a motel room every now and then. The young girl had run away from her abusive stepfather and ailing mother, figuring a life on the streets would be safer than in the warzone that was her home. She worked her way from city to suburbs, robbing middle class homes, barely getting enough to survive, until one day she overheard a group of business men at a cafe talking about a man who lived in the mountains.

"He has enough money to last 3 lifetimes." one of them said. Serafina smirked to herself and decided she didn't care how long she had to search, she'd find this man's house. She could probably steal enough gold and valuables to feed and shelter herself for months. She made one last hit in the small suburbs and cashed in her goods before stocking up on food, a warm coat, and some hiking boots.

The petite girl made her way up the mountains, walking for days before finally she came to the log cabin the men had mentioned. She smiled to herself and waited until midnight before she broke the window like she had done many times before. She climbed in, readying her bag before grabbing small trinkets and trophies. She was just about to load in the silver cutlery when she heard a man's voice behind her and her heart sank. [/i]Oh shit...[/i] she thought. She dropped the bag and lifted her hands, slowly turning to face him.

She turned to him, the moonlight shining subtly on her clenched jaw, blue eyes watering. She swallowed hard and slowly backed away. "Please, don't shoot." she whimpered meekly.

Ryan was a little surprised to hear a female's voice, pleading. He turned the light on and he could see it was a woman who was robbing from him, "Well... isn't this an interesting twist." He lowered the gun and walked up to her. He pulled off the stocking cap off the top of her head so he could see her hair, "So... little girl, how about you give me one good reason why I shouldn't call my good friend, the Sheriff, and have her throw your ass in jail?" He waited to see what she was going to say.

Her long brown hair was pulled back in a tight ponytail that tumbled over her shoulder when he pulled the stocking cap off. The fear that entered her eyes when he said he'd call the sheriff was not for fear of jail, but the fear that her family would be called because she was a minor. She couldn't go back there. She'd sooner die.

"Please, don't. I'll do anything. I can't go back. I'm sorry, I'm just trying to survive." the words tumbled out of her mouth, and she realized he'd be lucky if he understood them. "I can't go back there." She sighed. "Please, there must be some way I can make it up to you?" she murmured.

Ryan heard the young woman pleading for him to not call the police. When she said that she couldn't go back he assumed she had been to jail, not that she was a runaway. When she asked if there was a way she could make it up to him he thought for a moment, "You know... My housekeeper just got married a few weeks ago... I've been meaning to put an ad in the paper looking for someone... If you can cook and clean, you can stay here and be my new housekeeper or you can go to jail... What will it be?"

Serafina looked at him in disbelief when he said he wouldn't call the cops if she agreed to be a housekeeper. He was going to give her a place to stay? Access to food, a bed?! And all she had to do was clean and cook for him? It seemed too good to be true, but what choice did she have. She'd rather take her chances with this stranger than end up back at home.

"A...Alright. I'll be your housekeeper. I'm not a gourmet chef, but I can hold my own in a kitchen." she said, nodding slowly. "But, please... may I sleep first? I haven't had a good nights sleep in weeks." She hoped she wouldn't regret this decision, but at this point, she really had no other choice.

Ryan nodded when she agreed to be his housekeeper. When she said about not being a gourmet chef, "That's fine. I'm a simple man with simple tastes." When she asked about sleep he said, "of course... Follow me..." He took her to a room next to the kitchen. There was a nice queen size bed, a dresser, nightstands and a TV stand with a nice 19" flat screen TV. There was also a small semi walk in closet filed with Housekeeper dresses of various colors and black ballet flats and Mary Jane flats line the floor, "These are your uniforms... I don't have any underwear for you so if you need some You'll have to give me your sizes and I'll order them for you from amazon." There was also a private bathroom. "We'll talk more in the morning about your new job... one more thing, I want your driver's license or ID, that way If I find you gone in the morning I know who to send the Sheriff after."

Serafina followed behind him, head down. She didn't know what to expect, but knew she didn't have much of a choice. She entered the bedroom he lead her to and let out a small gasp when she saw all it offered. The outfits left much to be desired, but she had a tv, a bed! She couldn't believe it. There had to be a catch. There had to be something he wanted besides just someone to cook and clean.

When he asked for her license he breath caught, fear of him letting her family know where she was. "Please... I swear, I'm not leaving. I can't give that to you." her fear was almost palpable. She hoped he'd drop the subject. "Serafina Campbell. That's my name. But even if I gave you my license I wouldn't be there if the sheriff showed up there. That's an address, but it's not home."

Ryan saw that Serafina was absolutely terrified of giving him her driver's license. After hearing what she had to say, he had a feeling is wasn't because she was afraid of going to jail, she had a fear of going home. "Okay... I won't take your license... My name is Ryan by the way, Ryan Morris." he yawned, "Well, I'm going to go to bed, I'll see you in the morning, Serafina..." Then he left and went to bed.

"Thank you. Good night." she said, watching him close the door behind him. She stripped off the black clothes she was wearing, standing in this, new, unfamiliar place half naked. She sat on the bed and looked around. Serafina couldn't quite comprehend the events that unfolded tonight, nor her good fortune. Three nights ago she was sleeping on a bench in a park, now she was in a house with a bed, a tv, food!

"I hope he's really as nice as he seems." she mused as she took off her bra and climbed under the sheets. She figured she'd ask him for pajamas and underwear tomorrow. He did say he'd order her some. She sank into the bed, warmth and comfort enveloping her. "Please God, don't let this be a dream." she whispered as she slowly drifted to sleep.

The next morning Ryan woke up and headed downstairs. He peeked in Serafina's room and saw he sound asleep. He smiled and continued into kitchen. The kitchen looked very modern. There were oak cabinets all around. There was a large stainless steel refrigerator and a stainless steel double wall oven next to the door that lead to the laundry room and stainless steel dishwasher by the sink. The counter tops were all black marble. The island in the center of the kitchen had a cook top, a griddle and a grill. There was a bar on the other side of the island with a couple of stools. He turned on the coffee and then he turned on the TV to watch the morning news.

The next morning Serafina heard a TV and woke with a start. Where am I?! she thought, before the night's activities replayed in her head. "Oh... right." she murmured before standing up and getting dressed in one of the housekeepers dresses. She made her bed before wandering out into the living area, standing there shyly for a second before asking, "Are you hungry?" She moved into the kitchen and started to looking in cabinets, awkwardly trying to find out where everything was located.

Ryan smiled when he saw Serafina walk in the kitchen dressed in one of the housekeeper's dresses. "Good morning," he said, "You look very nice... Why don't you have a seat and I'll make breakfast while we talk about your new job here with me... Help yourself to some coffee." He got the pancake mix and started to make up some batter.

She pushed her hair behind her ears and nodded. "Oh... alright." she said, sitting down. "Thank you." she watched as he busied himself making the pancake batter and began to fidget nervously. "I...I'm sorry." she said softly. "I really am, I wasn't doing it for fun or anything... I was just trying to get money to eat." She smoothed the dress over her legs, hoping he would understand. He seemed nice so far, but she was still wary.

Ryan mixed up the batter, "Well, you don't have to worry about stealing anymore. From after today, you'll be up at 7 AM to make breakfast. After breakfast, you'll get to work cleaning. I'll let you set up your own routine for cleaning the house. Lunch is at Noon and dinner is at 6. Some nights I'll make dinner because I like to cook. Any questions?"

"Alright." Serafina nodded and watched him cook. "I think I understand, sir." she said softly. She was still trying to get used to her new situation, but the thought of not having to steal, or even scrounge for food was a welcome thought. "Is there anything I can help you with, Ryan?" she asked him, tracing the island with a finger, the smell of the pancake batter wafting through the kitchen. She didn't realize how hungry she actually was until she started to smell the food cooking.

Ryan poured some batter on the griddle. "No... I'm good..." Then he went over to the fridge and got out some bacon, "So, how did you sleep last night?" He put the bacon on the griddle.
