Started on another site and brought over here! This is Pandora and my role-play kiddies. ;]
Pandora:
Twigs snapped beneath bare feet as the vampire speed blindly forward. The thunderous heartbeat, yes a heartbeat that had once been so placid for so many eons, she had forgotten such organ still existed in her being. That is until now, as it pounded, furiously at work as if ready to burst from her heaving chest.
Unsteady breaths were drawn and released just as rushed. Smudges of days old dirt and grim stained her torn clothes. Strands of silver escaped the ordinate hair clasp, leaves entangled in the disheveled locks. Once flawless pale skin was now covered with perspiration and increasing cuts as protruding branches scraped roughly against her.
Damn her and her curiosity. Had she obeyed and remained in her place at home, however aggravated it would have been, none of this would have happened and he would have never laid eyes upon her. Nor would she, a Lady of nobility, be degrade to such a disgraceful state that could make the heavens weep. Or so her mother have screeched had she seen her current condition.
Thank goodness she never gave a rat's whiskers on appearances. Well, not enough to stop by the lake which ran at her right side while a sudden flutter clothes could be heard not far behind, anyway. Livia cursed under her breath as an untimely glance over her shoulder almost caused her loose her footing.
The King:
Blasted vampire, hadn't he told her not to run off? And now here he was chasing her with a sour expression as he cursed under his breath. Hadn't he told her a million and one times why he hated his job? And here she was making him do it. "Filthy vermin" he cursed irritably as he made sure the young boy holding to his waist stayed under his cloak. The boy clinging for dear life with eyes shut as his 'father' ran swiftly after his prey.
"Oh how I'd kill for a break right now.... like I'd even get one.." he rattled off sarcastically as he kept his grip on the boy while running, using his other hand to slice the branches in sight clear off. He couldn't help but continue mumbling to himself while in bad spirits; the only thought on his mind: get her back. So much so that his 'tunnel vision' kicked in, his eyes barely surveying the surrounding area to use as assistance for the fight to come as he ran on. Frankly, one would wonder why he was a hunter; it seemed laughable for a male in his position. Considering that he himself resembled the creatures he tracked; gray hair and eyes that generally clouded over in thought whenever he locked himself up in his own head. That wasn't it entirely; there was much more to the pale male that made his choice in profession hypocritical, but only a few would know this~
Pandora:
A sudden sneeze almost caused the vampiress to ram herself into the thick trunk of a ancient tree. Thankfully Livia recover quickly enough to turn a sharp left and stumble her way onwards. With an unlady-like snort, a mirthless chuckle soon escaped between heavy pants, glowing red eyes narrowing thinly as she pushed for more speed. The bastard was probably calling her names again. In return she wished him the best threw a silent prayer. May he run over a cliff and into the pit of a thousand, no, billions of rapid spawning venomous snakes in heat.
Finally breaking through the dense forest, she was reminded that fate could be so cruel at times, almost too late in skidding to a stop as the path she had taken had led her to a seemingly small cliff. Peering over the edge and following the small pebbles that had been forced over the edge with her eyes. Livia swallowed thickly as it disappeared into the blanket of mist obscuring the, no doubt, distant ground far, far below. It would be too late for the vampiress to take a detour as the dreaded hunter blocked her only means of fleeing through the forest once more. Cursing vehemently under her breath, she bit her lower lip nervously, crimson eyes darted desperately about. Buy some time! Buy some time!
Clearing her throat she forced a picture perfect smile that ached her cheeks. âKin! What a surprise! What brings out here on this, ahem, fine evening?â
The King:
Within seconds he was at the clearing, knife tight in his grip as he eyed. "You should know, yeh blasted bat" he growled at the vampire, not in the best of spirits. "Y'know what I mean, now come on" he spoke to her with an edge like growl to his voice. This was just not one of his nights, never really was when he had to take the she-devil around and here she was disobeying him and running off. He needed this like a bloody ulcer. "No funny business, ain't got time..." he spoke to her, trying to not loose it and kill her on the spot.
After all the first time he caught her, he had some assistance. Not even now had he begun to explain the truth in the matter to the vampire that a hunter like him wasn't exactly your ordinary hunter. Nor did he explain why he carried a ten year old everywhere he went. It'd be dangerous for the kid, but he simply couldn't let him be as he eyed the vamp. "So what will it be? The easy or hard way?"he asked her, keen on getting this done now.
Pandora:
âNot a bat, wish I was, I would be able to fly then.â Livia eyed the knife warily before glancing behind her. âDepends what faster, really, jumping off a thousand mile cliff or walking towards you.â She really needed to stop voicing her thoughts when she was anxious. It was a horrible habit that would bring about her demise. Of course tonight was no exception.
Livia shifted an antâs step backward towards the edge only to shuffle forward again when the Earth felt ready to crumble breath her weight. The moons choose to peek behind the veil of clouds then. Focusing her attention on the menacing blade as it caught the silver light. She cast another fleeting look over her shoulders. âPoor Kai, he must be tired.â
No doubt as weary as she. While adrenaline still pumped through her veins even at this very moment, slowly she grew aware to the aches and pain all throughout her being, not to mention the length of time that had lapsed since her last meal. Pesky canines elongated and inch before she caught herself and retracted the fangs. A Lady simply did not lose herself over something as small as bloodlust. Freedom, however, was another story. At once the nails of her right hand sharpened grew and to the length of roughly two feet long.
The King:
He glared at her, ready to fight if a struggle ensued. "Now come on- you know we BOTH don't wanta do this" he spoke to the hungry vamp as he held onto the shivering Kai tighter before switching his weapon instantly to a long sword. He took a menacing step forward before lunging at her, maybe this would get her to come with him.
Pandora:
Livia chuckled softly with a thoughtful tilt of her head, silted ruby red eyes dilated and glinting with dangerous intent. âWe do what we must.â A wicked grin accompanied the curt reply. A step, or perhaps better described as a meter long leap, was taken to the side as the hunter sped towards her. Simultaneously as she pivoted on the ball of her left feet, the fingertips of her right hand extended once more, the sharp thin blades with the durability of steel reaching its maximum length of five feet. They shot at a blinding speed towards the upper torso of the male.
The King:
Damn vampire. Didn't she know that it was almost useless to fight with him? Maybe she had forgotten, but all the same- it wasn't his say when it would happen. It was a triggered event depending on what the other choose about it. After all, he would have already used it if it was up to his decision personally. It would have helped a lot in this situation. The tearing, he felt her nails rip at his side, just as he missed her due to her agile movement. "Damn brat" he cursed out as he went to turn, trying to keep the damaged side up so that no blood flow came to it in excess. Then with a slight leap he tried again, simply waiting for the other to kick in as he danced dangerously beside the cliff- avoiding it narrowly as he moved about.
Pandora:
The scent of blood was simply intoxicating. Livia stumbled back as if she was hit by an invisible blow. A sudden hiss bared the lengthened canines. Perhaps it wasnât a good idea simply lay scratches at the hunter. Not to say she hadnât been aiming for a certain beating organ in the first place. Before she knew it, the long blades were retracted to half its extent, the instinctive reaction to give a taste doing little to state her thirst, if any thing, intensified her bloodlust. â..Oh dearâ¦â
With another lick her eyes were swallowed in darkness as her head cocked to the other side. âMaybe, if you give me a sip of you, I would reconsider..â Livia giggled darkly as the male approached her once more. â..What do you say?â Using both hands, each blow would be parried, or was at first.
As time slipped by, the vampire rashly began to lash out regardless. The excitement of blood clouded her consciousness, earning her quite an amount of scratches and cuts, the scent of blood grew heavier with each wound. It was a continuous cycle that would undoubtedly lead to her demise. Even so it was clear she was almost lost to herself as she continued to push forward, her voice husky with a feral grin. âJust a little drink?!â
