Alythara looked around the room that she haired with her sister for the last time. Money had become tight and with no one lining up to marry her, Alythara's father had found her a job. She would be working as a maid in a respectable lord home. She did not know a lot of the details only that he would be picking her up in his carriage tonight just after sunset. She wondered why This lord would pick her up personally, she understood sending a carriage but for him to come it was not normally done. However he was her employer so she did not question it. She picked up her small bag looking to her sister.

"It's a shame you won't marry Aly, Your so pretty" While that might be true with her waist length blond hair and golden skin. She looked at herself in the mirror one last time The front of her hair was pulled back out of her face. To show her crystal blue eyes. She looked to her twin the complete opposite of her. Where Alythara looked like she was kissed by the sun her sister Tamara looked like the darkest of nights. Her slate hair the same length. Her sisters skin was as pale as moonlight. "I might be but you are the one with all the suitors Mara."

Mara walked with her sister down the stairs to wait for the carriage. Her family was there to wish her well, there bags packed as well as they needed to sell the house. It was part of the reason that her father got her this job. Where as Mara wanted to marry Alythara did not. She preferred to spend her time reading, history was her favorite subject, much to her father displeasure. Her father looked her over making sure not a hair was out of place.

"Are you sure about this Alythara I could still find you a husband if you wish." She smiled at her father "I'm sure papa I want to make my way in this world. Not be lead around like some ornament. I am a person with thoughts and feelings most men do not care about that." No they just cared about if you could bring them pleasure. "I want to work and I think this job would be good for me. I can buy my own books and continu learning." She stopped talking at her fathers look. "You spend too much time with your nose in a bokk girl it's time to get your head out of the clouds and back on the ground"

Just then the doorbell rang cutting off her fathers rant. "That will be him papa I need to go" She gave her family a hug, picked up her bag and left to start a new life a better life. A life of her own in which she would be her own master.

RE: The new maid?

Once the door was open Alythara would see a man standing on the other side. He stood to be over six with an black inverness cape over him, however it was unbuttoned so she would see within he also wore black pants and matching color tailcoat with red vest underthe tailcoat. The man himself had dark browk hair that came down only to his neck and clean shaven to show more of his light tannish skin face. The man himself looked like what most women would die to have, he looked very handsome and to be late twentys or early thirtys of age.

The man's jade green eyes looked now looking at her and giving her a warm smile "Well hello there. You must be Alythara, it is a pleasure to meet you my dear." He said as he gave her a low bow but his eyes never leaving side of her. Noticing the bags he snap his fingers and the coachman came down from the carriage and start gathering her things "Your father told me about you.... " before he would say anymore Alythara's father interuped "Xanatos, if I may have a word with you please?".

Xanatos's eyes then turn to the older man "Ah William, just the man I wanted to see." he said before looking back at Alythara "Go right in, I will meet you in the carriage." he told her and then walked over to Williams and both men walked to a room to talk in privet.

Alythara made her way to the carriage. She wondered what more her father could have with xantos. She let that thought slide as she waited in the cariage. She just wanted to be off towards her new life. She didn't know what her father had against it. Bist she would deal waiting patiently for her new employer.

In about five minutes Xanatos walked out of the home and towards carriage, William came back out with a small box a hand. However he couldn't look at the carriage. Once Xanatos came inside, the carriage itself started to move. The young man sat just across from her and the curtains covered window openings. He looked over at Alythara with a smile on his lips "So then, tell me about your self and what skills do you have that would benefit me? He asked her. "Though your father told me much about you I rather hear it from you." he said as he lean back and enjoy the ride. Shortly they were coverd in darkness as if they went though a cave of some sort.

She smiled at him. "Well I can cook and clean, catorgrize a library. I can read write and speak Latin, Greek and French. I van work on a timely and efficient manor. I was taught at a young age how to manage a household." She continued to list the qualifications that would make her a good maid. She didn't want him to regret hiring her. She stayed away from telling him anything personal. She wanted to look professional. The darkness unnerved her but she didn't let it show.

It have pleased him that he didn't just take some one who only looks pretty, he gotten many of those before and they end up being schooled by his servents. "Well you are better then most I have gotten in the past and all those skills will aid you for what you need to do. Though I have some one already doing the managing so you won't need to worry about that." he said before Alythara got the feeling they were moving uphill for a short time before coming straight again. "Though you would have to get us to some of the.... people you would be working with, everyone at my estate are treated the same no matter their differents so keep that in mind Alythara. More so the one in front of you, even though you might be afriad at first."

Suddenly the certains opened up and moon light shined inside the carriage. What Alythara could see however is Xanatos with a differet face. The cloths were the same but she would notice that his body build is a bit more muscular then before but she would notice the most was his face have changed. His tannish skin is now a blood red color and his green eyes now a deep brown. Though his hair was the same color but two horns sticked out from his head and curved to towards the back of his head. He smiled at her "Your father didn't tell you the full detels did he?" he asked as he figure what her raction would be when she see his true form. "Oh and before you try running out I would say you watch your step for it is a long way down." he told her. If she looked out of the curtains of the carriage she would see they riding in mid air over what looked to be the ocean.
