Eric didn't feel like going to the strip club tonight. Not only was he a little depressed, but for the first time, he felt embarrassed. Once again, he'd gotten optimistic about there being something between him and one of the dancers. And, once again, that had ended...unpleasantly. Granted, this one hadn't ended so much with mockery, or derision, or even just casual dismissal. Still, after last night, he was fairly confident that Candy (or Chloe) would not be seen again, at least by him.
He went back to the computer, 1 of 2 that he kept in his apartment (one desktop and one laptop), and put on a youtube playlist, all things he'd already seen. He leaned back in his chair, looking around the sparsely furnished, two bedroom apartment. Initially, the second bedroom had largely been for convenient storage. A visit from family two years back had led to a small bed and dresser being put in, both of which had since gone unused. Despite the low traffic and the sparse furniture, the "guest" bedroom was as well furnished as the rest of the apartment.
It would be a quiet night, complete with loneliness, restlessness, and general discontent.
