The old ruins stood before Leona, with moss covering the ancient stone and moonlight streaming through the trees behind the ruins. This was the place...the "Monsters' Den" she had been told about in the letter.

Even a skilled swordswoman like Leona would have been reluctant to enter such a place -- even armed. The letter forbid her to bring a weapon, threatening Amelie's life if she did. Leona didn't know why these monsters would have kidnapped her lover Amelie, taking her to their secret lair...unless they had planned on luring her into a trap or something. Even if there was a trap, Leona couldn't hesitate with her love's life at risk. Even if she had to enter without her blade, she would stop at nothing to save Amelie from the beasts within.

Leona walked through ruined pillars, coming to a spiralling staircase downward at the center of the ancient ruins. She descended the steps, opening the heavy stone door that led into the catacombs. No one she'd asked knew anything about these ruins, who could have constructed them in the past or what might be lurking within now. But it didn't matter if even the biggest, most vicious monsters awaited her. If they harmed Amelie, they would pay.

Kazue crouched low, watching as the human approached the "Monsters' Den' (honestly, these humans severely lacked imagination). The kitsune had heard rumors about a swordswoman who'd been all but tricked into heading there. Something about how the queen of the dungeon (a title that, in Kazue's opinion, the current holder had barely earned), had kidnapped another morsel to snack upon and used said morsel to trick someone else into entering. Given what Kazue knew about humans and the queen, she wasn't betting on said captive being in one piece. And the whole "nothing but females" business that seemed to at least solve some worried entrants really wasn't much of one. After all, several females in this particular lair had enough to worry.

Shifting, the kitsune leaned against the rock, keeping eye on the blonde. She did look appealing, enough to make the fox-girl's ears and tail twitch a little. It had been... a while, since this particular "monster" had seized upon someone to gather energy from. The swordswoman did seem like a good target, and possibly useful for something else.

But what was the fun in just springing upon her? No, it was much more fun to play a little game. Smiling, Kazue pushed from the rock, using her own illusion magic to hide in the shadows. She melted forward, and quickly altered the path just ahead of Leona. Instead of the straight line, three options seemed to spring, almost out of no where. Of course, two were actual rock walls, but there was no way of knowing just by looking.

"And..." Kazue said, swirling a finger. Several illusion monsters crawled out of crevices from just behind Leona, each looking very much like a little goblin, complete with long noses. Perfect dwellers for the near-surface of a place like this, no?

Leona shrugged her shoulders, punched all the monsters in the face, then went home with her girlfriend. She felt a little disappointed how boring and easy it was, perhaps because some lout couldn't be arsed to respond, but oh well. That's life, and some people can just go fuck themselves for expecting RPs to actually last.
