Bumping policy?

It sees some people bump their threads multiple times a day while I have been holding off even announcing changes to my thread to respect the policy.

Is there in fact a thread bump policy sticking to roughly once a day?

You can only "Bump" a thread Once every 24 hours. If you've made updates to the thread you can note that. If someone is excessively bumping a thread you can PM a mod and let them know about it.

EDIT :: Here is the actual rule on it
VIII | BUMPING AND REQUEST THREADS
Limit yourself to TWO ACTIVE REQUESTS PER FORUM (ie, male, female or uncategorized other). We understand that sometimes members like to revamp their threads and make a fresh start. This is fine. Just send staff a PM to lock it down and/or to delete it for you. If you are found to have more than two active threads in a particular request section, you will receive warning via PM and if no response is heard, they will eventually be deleted/locked without warning.

Bumping Policy: You may bump your thread only ONE TIME PER DAY AND if your thread reaches page 3 or later. So NO ONE should ever be bumping their thread more than once in a single 24 hour time period and NO ONE should ever be bumping their thread within this 24 hour time period UNLESS it's gone to page 3 or later. The ONLY exceptions to this are -- you have edits you've added to your pages and thus you wish to bump (though please wait until ALL edits are complete), you are adding 'reserve' posts to your thread (though PLEASE notify staff BEFORE you do this), you are responding to something RP-related within your thread. All other times will be considered 'over bumping' and warrant a verbal warning first. Persistent disregard to this will warrant harsher consequences. Also, if traffic is extremely slow, staff is reasonable. So, if traffic is super slow and your thread is on page 2 or later for a week or longer, you may then bump your thread back to page one. However, once you do this, you may not bump again for another 24 hours AND until your page reaches page 3 or later once again. No exceptions.

Also, since this needs to be stated for those members posting to others' RTs:
01) Keep negativity out of it. Always.
02) Any post should be site rules compliant.
03) Primarily do so as a means of communication.
04) Supportive/encouraging 'bumps' are fine, but keep in mind the 'time stamp' of the latest post along with the content of the previous post. Try to avoid over-bumping for the sake of fairness to the rest of the members on site and to keep compliance with site rules regarding bumping policy.

Several members also find it helpful to make F-Lists and Rabbit Holes (**note ~ Rabbit Hole appears to be currently and indefinitely down/offline**) so that they can link to them via their request threads or in their signatures. These sites help you categorize your kinks and other such things so that members can click and see the bigger picture in one place and in full.

Thanks. Seeing 2 people do it in a few min period made me question whether it was still an active thing.

You're welcome. As I said, if you see people doing it just message someone with a green name and tell them. We try to keep up with the site as best as we can but we can't catch everything. c=
