Wouldn't you like to know...
The rise of the full moon brought comfort to the wolves of the legendary Hikara clan. Legend has it that these wolves as bound to the transformation of the moon. When the moon rises full they must become the wolf that is their other half, in truth they are not focused into the transformation. In truth it is tradition for them to run the forest in their wolven fur on the night of the full moon.

A loud, long howl echoed through the thick woods. The howl came from the leader of the Hikara clan, known to all as the Lady of the Woods. The sleet black pelt her wolf form wore shone brightly in the light of the moon. Her silvery blue eyes were cold, filled with power from many years of being the leader of the Hikara clan. Like her father before her, she became alpha after killing the leader who had killed her own father for the role of alpha. Now she ran the clan and fought off all who dear try to take her rank.

The Hikara clan gathered at their leaders heels in their wolven forms and waited patiently for their alpha to begin the tradition run beneath the full moon know as the Kuiryki. After a glance back to ensure all twenty-four members of the clan had gathered, the Lady of the Woods surged into the dense woods, closely followed by her pack.

As the moon broke through the clouds the light that it cast down outlined the silhouette of the figure standing at the opening of the forest. From under the shadow if his wide brimmed hat his pale blue eyes searched the shadows of the forest. A soft breeze blew past him catching some of his long white hair causing it to sway in the wind. His body was tense with anticipation. He had been hired to destroy the wolves that controlled this forest. The people who hired him told him the wolves were destroying live stock and endangering the lives of everyone in the area. Whether or not that was true they had managed to scrounge up a respectable amount of gold and he was not going to let them down. With a heavy sigh he turned and walked to the large black horse that grazed a few feet from him. Opening one of the flaps on the horses' side he removed two wickedly curved short swords attatching them to the sides of his black Canvas pants and a long wooden bow with a quiver of silver tipped arrows placing them on his back.

After snatching a long black canvas coat from the saddle he turned and started into the woods slinging the coat around and slipping his arms through its protective sleeves. Once he was deep into the forest he took the bow from his back and notched an arrow and took a quick glance around before moving deeper. As he walked his body seemed to move less like a human's and more like an animal of stealth. His footfalls made next to no sound and he easily navigated the thick brush without making the slightest disturbance. He moved slowly and steadily searching and listening for the slightest sound that could betray his preys position. It was then that he heard the howls echoeing through the forest and he counted at least twenty seperate howls and he knew that the hunt would be more challenging than he origionally thought. As he looked up to examine the tree tops for a vantage point the moon light caught his eyes making them glow a slight yellow color for a moment until he brought his view back to the shadows and continued through the forest.

The large pack ran blissfully through the thick trees and brush, hardly making a sound at all as they surged forward. Nothing could stop them, not even a large tree that had fallen the previous week during a thunder storm. Their movements were so graceful it was like magic and even with them all, there was hardly a sound of there paws coming down on the ground.

The Lady of the Woods sniffed the air. With the others distracted by the thrill of the run, she was the only one that was keeping an eye out for any possible trouble. And she sniffed it in the air. She howled and brought her pack to a hault. She instructed them to stay where they were until she called for them or returned. With that, she rushed off in the direction of the smell of steel and man.
