as the experiment ran. the head of the family the preacher bray noctus and three of his closet members were patrolling the very area she was in. knowing she had gotten past their barrier they were looking for her to find out why they had entered and disturbed the family's peace. they were four demons. bray holding a lantern as he and his three brothers sniffed out the soon to be new ally.
She had taken whatever chance she could and used a little magic she found she had thanks to the foolish human's magical experiments. She had broke out now she had been running flying what ever she could do just to get away. She didn't know where she was and all this world was so much smaller or maybe bigger than she thought before. She didn't know. Her large Butterfly wings fluttered a bit as she stumbled and sometimes would fall. She soon found a swamp she would hide in and took off flying up into a weeping willow tree to hide.
Her violet and golden wings folding flapping open once in a while as she looked around rather scared. She almost felt stupid though when she saw the lantern light. She so desperately wanted to go closer to it but refrained as she tried to hide her naked human form from these men. Her antennae had been changed into long pink hair and she couldn't see like she used to and could only look forward. she watched the glow of the light barely noticing the men now as she held to the tree best she could. This damn human body made everything so difficult.
as the four men approached the young hybird would swear she saw a fifth beofre something being handed to one of the four and then the fifth disappearing. as the men drew closer to the will soon surrounding it with bray sitting in his rocker that had been set up then three men bearded almost giant of men started circling around the willow tree. then a large crow lands just above the hybrid. bray started rocking back and forth. " little thing stuck in a tree. my my does sister abby has a funny way in humor." bray laughed as he held his lantern. the light giving him an eerie glow. "what to do with the little thing? yes sister abby what should we do hmm? she obviously trespassing and she could be a spy for our enemies. tho she does seem ill equipped for spying. they forgot her cloths." bray smiled then sighed "crow bring her down to me gently" the crow cawed and then started pecking at the hybrid. not enough to harm but enough to annoy and force her off the tree.. she was cuaght by the biggest of the men as the crow flew down and transformed into human male with black cloths. but he was still feathery looking standing next to bray as the giant men brought her to stand in front of bray. "my my she is a pretty thing..... though i think your right sister abby she does seem more victim then villain. well come on lets go home its late enough as is" bray rose and smiled "Welcome to the home of the family little thing" as he started walking the crow picked up the rocking chair. as the biggest man picked up the girl and fell in behind bray as the other two fell beind and to the side of the one carrying the hybrid crow picked up the rear with the chair. "despite it being night the 5 knew where they where going guided by bray's lantern as bray started humming a tune. the lantern wasnt needed really all five could see fine at night. it just added to the eerie mystery that was bray the preacher and of course his Communion with the mysterious sister abby.
they would arrive in small village in the swamp. one of many in the families lands. they had cities and many other places where their members dwelt but bray favored the small over the large when he traveled through the lands. the arrived entered a hut for bray and set the hybid down as well as the rocking chair. bray sitting in it as crow took his leave turning into a crow once more and flying off to his nest. the other three stood waiting as bray sat starring at the hybrid as he rocked in his chair seeming to be seeing every part of her and examining her. he smiled as silently the three giant men left. "im running out of time little thing. i want it all even when i give it all away i want it all." bray chuckled. "well little thing do you have a name? im bray. i guess im the ruler of these here parts and good deal many others." he smiled reassuring. "your in no danger unless you want to be. i and sister abby can promise you that at least for now."
The hybrid watched and tried to hide more before she heard the bird and turned suddenly felt very scared Bird ate bugs like her Or at least what used to be her. She moved flailing her arms at the bird before she slipped falling from the tree her wings fluttering trying to stop the fall before she was caught. She moved so her wings weren't touching the man. She knew that the dust on her wings was needed to fly. Though as they started walking she looked around scared but she also felt safe oddly enough. As they soon reached the place and she was set inside a hut. She looked around a moment before hearing the man. She blinked her head cocking to the side. She barely understood the words before hearing ruler and blinked frowning.
She opened her mouth but nothing seemed to come out as she blinked touching her mouth before she frowned even more before she looked to the other once more and moved spreading her butterfly wings and pointing to them and then to herself as if saying she was a butterfly. She moved before thinking as she moved standing tall and showing her impression of the mage before she gestured to herself. She needed to learn how to talk or write or something.
Bray watched her intently getting that she wasn't natural and was probably a butterfly was a given. tho her next movements confused bray he thought a moment before he started drawing on the ground with a nearby stick. first him then his family members she had met. he pointed to each on one "bray" he said pointing to his drawing of himself. then he circled the four members "my family. he then drew her and said "stranger." after drawing a bit more it was clear he was asking what she doing her and why. giving her the stick he watched her hoeing she would enlighten him.
She moved and did what she could drawing the tower before the long group of land between her and the tree before she drew the lantern and them at the tree. At the tower she drew a mage and a small semblance of the experiments he did on her. Then at the end she drew the hut and them inside as if saying now she was here after having run away from the tower. before she paused and wrapped her arms around herself shivering feeling suddenly very cold but then again being bare skinned didn't help.
bray nodded as he now understood. "ah i see. well you may stay here" he noticed her servering and helped her up and guided her to a bed with blankets "here rest. we can discuss more tomorrow." after helping her cover up. being careful with her wings he smiled as he bad her good night and sat back in his rocking chair. rocking back and forth mumbling to sister abby. as sleep slowly claimed to newest member of the family.
The girl took a little look at him before she was ushered to the bed and found it WAY more comfortable then the stone floor she had been on at the mage's tower. She felt the warm blankets moved around her as well and grinned a bit actually feeling kind of safe here. It didn't however take long for her to drift to sleep her wings fluttering a bit as the dust from them lightly clung to the blanket. Her wings would open and close as if flapping from time to time to keep the joints from getting stiff but she was fast asleep at least until morning came where she would stir a bit rubbing her eyes a moment before lookign around . It took a minute to remember she wasn't at the tower anymore as she blinked and refused to move a moment she was warm and rather liked this thing she had been on it was almost as nice as when she used to perch on a flower when she would drink the necter. With that thought her stomach growled loudly causing a bright pink to come to her cheeks.
