Hey there! Thanks for checking out my request thread. I've been away from the site for a short while, but the allure of writing has yanked me back. I've only done a few tweaks to this old thread, but I never played out the story ideas here, so they're still game. As always, I'm open to lots of things. I'm currently having a lot of ideas about modern day wealth/power, and low-fantasy fringe settings. Have a look and shoot me a PM if something catches your fancy!

About Me
Here's the basics.
I'm strongly literate, willing to play a variety of roles (usually male, sometimes female).
I generally prefer to play opposite female writing partners.
I have limited time for roleplaying, so I'm looking to establish one or two.
I'm not a terribly fast writer, so expect 3-4 posts a week, multi-paragraph length. I always want to say daily, but this is more realistic.
I'm pretty friendly and happy to hear out your ideas or work on one together.
I'm married, so I absolutely respect personal life boundaries and have my own. Also not against making friends.
I love description and detail and characters that break the mold in interesting ways.
I would really like to roleplay through Threads, but PMs and email are also options. IM based scenes won't work unless I have a rare free weekend.
I'm flexible on story/smut ratios, be it an introductory sex scene, or spending two dozen posts building to a kiss.
I like to communicate OOC talk via PM to guide things along and to run ideas by each other.

A man's wife dies in the bondage he put her in, and through the ensuing trial, every detail of their illicit sex life is made public. Gone was the image of an idyllic couple well known and loved in the community, leaving behind a lone deviant. The court rules it an accident, but his wife's family and the community see solely the man to blame, not just for her death, but for perverting their comfortable ignorance. With no close family of his own, his adopted one, that of his deceased wife, turns on him in an instant.
The only person that doesn't outright shun him is his wife's very close, younger sister. It's hard to say what compels her to visit him in secret. Maybe she seeks a better understanding of this unknown, taboo side to her only sibling. Maybe she feels sympathy and pity for the man that was until recently a part of her family. Then again, maybe she has a curiosity of her own.

This is a shell of an idea in need a story. We play the crew of a small ship carrying out under-the-table courier jobs for wealthy clients. Many of the tasks are illegal, but that doesn't necessarily make them glamorous or exciting. Most of the time, they're simply long, boring trips between stations or wealthy estates, transporting small cargo. The crew is small and functional, 2-4 people: a pilot, a mechanic, a business liaison, etc; no Jayne Cobbs or ex-military types. So when they get involved in something dangerous, they end up well over their head.
If you have a character, story, or world setting you'd like to try something like this in, do let me know!

Childhood friends, Vegas, adventure, romance, on the run
He's come to Vegas on business, wining and dining a foreign client in the pinnacle of extravagance. Luckily it's all on the company's dime. She, a childhood friend, works as a waitress on the casino floor. Hearing that he would be in town, she insisted he come down while she's on shift. "Don't worry," she had said, "Just sit at a table and I'll find you." He does, and starts to gamble, clumsily; he's not very accustomed to throwing around money. She finds him and brings him a drink and, wow.....he's pretty sure he hasn't seen her wearing something like THAT before.
They don't outwardly display that they know each other, partly because of a dumb rule her boss imposes on the staff not to act overly familiar with any one guest, and partly because they have always had an odd, teasing relationship. Teasing AND flirting it seems. His eyes can't seem to stop lingering on her. Despite the distractions, his luck has taken a significant turn for the better. He bets erratically, but it keeps paying off, enough that it's drawn a bit of a crowd around the table, as well as the attention the casino's head of security, watching from behind the scenes. Out of nowhere, a hotel concierge comes out, congratulating him on his winnings and offering to upgrade him to a nicer suite, along with some serious urging to step away from the table.
Almost as if they're keeping tabs on him, another concierge pays him a visit later in his room with a complimentary meal. Security finds it all the more curious to hear that the waitress who had repeatedly served him drinks downstairs was now up in his room for a casual visit.
