Eric sat in his office looking at a variety of pictures of his next appointment. It was not how he usually prepared. However, there was little "usual" about his next appointment. Tina was the first patient of his that he'd ever been able to do a Google search on and find more than some criminal case. In addition, he'd had to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding all sessions and even the fact that they were meeting. His low profile, willingness to be discreet, flexibility in appointment hours, and (he suspected) modest fee were all reasons she'd chosen him for meetings. He'd been a bit uncomfortable with the silence agreement, but she'd explained how important discretion was given her public life, and she'd signed one as well as a gesture of good faith.
She really was a stunning woman. He flipped through a couple of headshots and photoshoots his receptionist had put together for him and enjoyed the view before looking over his notes. They'd met three times now, usually later at night after work. He'd initially been surprised to learn that the beautiful and successful woman was concerned about depression, but on later reflection, it had made sense. She worked a lot, yet had close to no job security. Due to her modeling, she had to be hyper-critical of her body, leading to some symptoms of insecurity and poor self-image, complicated by minor identity issues from playing different roles. She'd felt that none of her time was her own, that even her identity wasn't her own, and couldn't ever "let her hair down." She'd also mentioned fears that she wasn't a very good mother to her teenage son.
Their sessions so far were pretty straightforward. She'd explained her schedule, travel, different types of people she worked with. Really basic, familiarity-type discussions. He'd had her do a couple of simple relaxation drills, lying down on the couch...nothing special.
