RE: Katie's Breakaway Night
The party was definitely pounding away, if only from the bass of the stereo system and nothing else. It was a party for one of the bigger groups at Camelot Community College, and it looked like practically anyone who mattered in the slightest to the social structure of the school had been invited to it. That was probably a bit of an overstatement, admittedly, but for those who had little experience with it, it probably didn't make any difference whatsoever.
Entering into the party, Katie would find it to be quite the experience. Glowing lights cast a myriad of colors about the room and the music was practically overpowering, especially when combined with the loud conversations already taking place. There were plenty of drinks, bottles, red cups, and a lot of food to go with it. Surprisingly, there was no actual sex as of yet, but plenty of suggestive dancing, kissing and things that were on the borderline. Though to someone like Katie it probably didn't make a difference.
The party spilled out beyond the house proper as well to the backyard, where things were slightly less loud due to the open space, but no less active. Of course that was something to be explored later if she wanted, but it was still worthy of note.
Through it all threaded one Marcus Ryazan, something of a socialite and an all around popular guy. Smart, good looking, and he had a bit of a reputation as a lady killer. Currently he was dressed in a blue polo and jeans, holding onto a drink of water in his hand that served him quite well. He liked the appearance, but he didn't want to miss out on opportunities. And at a party like this, who knew what would happen.
Eventually he spotted some new arrivals, and waved to them as he approached. "Hey Sarah, Kendell," he called out at the same time. "It's been a while. What have you guys been up to?"
