Ultragirl stood staring at herself in the mirror shaking her head, "No, this won't do, I'm America's sweetheart and pillar of virtue for every young woman who looks up to me. I can't be seen out in public like this." She said as she spun around and gave a hard glare at her publicist and the designer.
Both the woman eyed her up and down taking in the new uniform they'd collaborated on. The silver and blue unitard had a plunging neckline, showing off her large C cup breasts, while the lower half was high cut at her hips, showing off the sides of her blossomed buttocks. These new red boots were actually taller than her original pair, but they looked like something a hooker might wear, coming up to her mid thigh. Her cape, which used to hang down to her mid calf, was now a half cape specifically short in order showcase her nearly bare posterior. But the worst part was that they'd gotten rid of her trademark mask.
The silver domino mask she'd worn for years in order to protect her secret identity had been discarded all together. It had been handed down to her by the Sentinel of Justice, Captain Ultra. He'd worn it during his early years too, before true scope of her incredible powers had manifested. Now he had no need for such things and had passed it down to her as a family heirloom. Yes it would be nice to show off her beautiful face but the risk to her family and loved ones was still too much for her to bare. Ultragirl wasn't nearly as strong as her namesake was yet, soon enough sure, but until then she just felt safer with a mask.
"I like it, it looks very adult. You aren't a member of Junior Justice anymore, Ultra! You need to lose the teeny-bopper outfit and start marketing yourself to some of the big teams. I understand your father, Captain Ultra was the founder of the League of Lawgivers but he'll be retiring soon and the new marketing team in charge of the Lawgivers is looking for edgier superheroes to appeal to the world's changing tastes. Soon all these golden aged superheros will be carted off to the nursing home to make room for the new breed of anti-hero all the media seems obsessed with. You need to evolve or people won't care about you anymore." The smartly dressed, middle aged woman who stood chewing on the tip of her glasses protested.
Evangeline Manchester had been Ultragirl's manager and publicist since young beautiful protege had come of age and started fighting crime. Unfortunately the salad days of managing a teen heroine were over with Junior Justice's mandate that no person over the age of 18 could be a part of the team. Eva had been begging Ultra to modernize her appearance
"I simply can't work with this! She's too modest, you'll have to find another designer." The fashionista Eva had hired to overhaul Ultragirl's new costume said, throwing up her hands and walking out in a huff of frustration.
"Let her go Eva, we'll find someone else, someone who doesn't think street-walker-chic is an appropriate look for the role model to countless young women." Ultragirl persisted and with a flash, Ultragirl shot off and reappeared a second later in her original uniform.
This was the modest grey, blue and red uniform she'd adorned since she'd joined the Junior Justice squad. Grey, knee length skirt, with red boots that only came up to her mid calf. Her top was also grey, with blue piping emphasizing the red 'U' on her chest plate. The long red cape, still flapping from her speedy change now came to rest at it's normal length and most importantly was her silver domino mask, covering her identity. "There that's better."
"You look like a curvy woman who's still trying to squeeze into her catholic school girl uniform, Ultra. You have to give me a little leeway or we'll never find your new look." Eva protested, pointing out the fact that the once modest skirt she used to wear didn't properly fit her larger hips and buttocks anymore.
"I have faith in you Eva, you'll find someone that can design a costume that both you and I will be happy with, cause you're the best!!" Ultra said with a pretty smile.
It was just then that her emergency signal sounded, her wristband began to blink. "Shoot, It looks like I gotta go, Machiniac is back to his old tricks and Infinity City isn't going to protect itself." Ultra girl said before bolting off out of the window at nearly the speed of sound.
