The village was little more than cinders by now, blood spattered the snow and mixed with the waters. Few screams could still be heard throughout the small community, but hours early there had been a loud chorus of them. Kari padded down the main path of the town, her fur boots making light crunching sounds. As she passed she could hear quiet grunts and mewling coming from one side of the road. Looking towards the source of the sound. There in the ruins she saw Titus, one of the more brutal members of her clan, he lay on top of a woman and it was easy to see that he had released his manhood from his hide shorts and was roughly thrusting into the villager girl on the ground. She looked to be about Kari's age, and she also seemed to be enjoying herself. The horror stories about vikings, while mostly true, never included that some women enjoyed being taken advantage of by a big brute of a man such as Titus. Of course they didn't.

Suddenly there was a bang, and from one of the few houses that remained somewhat intact to her left a man flew out in a rage, wielding an ice pick and charging at her. Kari smirked, and raising her hand the snow to her left did a little fluttering before suddenly forming into a nasty looking spike and impaling the man right through his lower abdomen. She then raised her small hand axe and drove the blunt end of it right into the man's skull, he screamed and then fell limp. The viking maiden looked down at her red tunic now even brighter with flesh blood on it. She wasn't nearly as savage and vicious as some of the other men, especially those she was related to, but if attacked she showed no mercy.

The girl knew that this would probably lead to another execution attempt on her life. Magic was only to be practiced by the male leaders of a clan, and it was taboo for anyone else, women especially, to practice it. But when you're the only female in a clan of 44 savage men, at least half of which try to shove their dicks down your throat or up your vagina in a week's time, and on top of that the other half tries to cut your head off at the same time, well, a hand axe doesn't get you far. Kari had been very successful, remained a virgin and alive for a good 16 almost 17 years, her entire life. It wasn't that Kari didn't want to have sex, she found a lot of the men quite attractive and if things were different she might of let Titus impale her on his fat cock. The problem was, once a viking woman was deflowered, whoever was responsible was her new mate for life. After that, if the husband allowed it, she could be bent over by any male on the boat. She found him quite attractive, but she wouldn't want Titus as her husband. That was what made it hard, she needed to decide who she wanted her husband to be, but so many of the guys were just brutes, with mutton for brains. Except her brother, even though she'd made him angry with her so many times, he was intelligent, just as rough as the rest of them yes, but his mind was sharper than all of them combined, and where her magic was devastating and could overpower entire squadrons, his was cunning, keen, strategic.

Kari walked through the snow checking for any survivors and occasionally hitting a house with a fire bolt. Aside from her red tunic she would be hard to spot in the snow, with her pale blonde hair and icy blue eyes. She watched a few vikings chase women through the white dust then easily take them down and begin to ravage them. There were so many rapes because the time between raids was long, while public masturbation was common on the ship, and some even went as far to help each other out, they all agreed that nothing quite felt like the velvety folds of a woman. That was why so many of them wanted her.

Her life wasn't all fighting off men, there were many fun times too, she liked to cook big meals for the men and even spar with some of them, then she'd go practice her magic down in the brig while they were all asleep. She liked to joke around and sing along to their drunken sailor tunes as well.

As she reached the edge of the town she walked out into a big white clearing at the edge of a beautiful mountain, she admired it's huge glory for a while. Then suddenly a huge wind picked up causing a miniature blizzard all around her. She turned around and couldn't see anything but white where the town had been.

Harold observed the raid as much as her could. The cleaverant spells he was taught came in handy when he went into battle. He had saved many of his fellow Viking brother in arms from ambushes because of those spells. With such spells he could keep track of all of his men on the battle field and even scry for the best towns to raid. The one blind spot he had noticed throughout the years was his sister Kari. She had been studying magic in secret. Some how she had learned to a spell to keep herself hidden from detection which how he guessed she was continuing her studies. However it was those same spells that prevented him from keeping track of her. He couldn't really blame her for studying magic for her own well being. However was the law and it was expected to be carried out. The sentence for illegal magic practicing was death. Each time they went on one of these raids he attempted to have her killed. Each time she was victorious. She was beginning to develop a reputation with the rest of the clan that the other men both respected and feared. This time no one was willing to face her. Being the next in line to chief Harold's commands were expected to be fulfilled. However it was obvious that he would need to follow by example. He would have to be the one to kill her.

It wasn't until she used a spell that he could sense her. He found her wondering the village ruins after she had killed the village local so quickly. Her execution was perfect. Her form flawless. Such a strong warrior woman would be a prime wife for a chief's son. However she was still braking the law. Even with this recent kill she used magic. He continued to follow her. She was leaving the village. He knew now would a prime opportunity to strike. He felt conflicted but quickly came to a resolve. If he could kill her then so be it. If he couldn't then he would take something else from her other than her life. Being the next in line he could have a harem and he would need a strong loyal first wife to keep the other's in line. That is if he so chose to have a harem.

As she wondered farther from town he began his spell. One of the first things his father taught him was to use the environment to his advantage. Snow had proven to be one of the most versatile of environments. Soon he had constructed a wall of snow so thick the village could no longer be seen. It was just him and her. She had chosen her hand ax for the raid he had noticed. He had seen her more than once be a ruthless terror with the simple short weapon. If she was was going to be worthy of him he would need to match her weapon. So was custom in a mating fight. He selected his own hand as from the hustler he kept it on his back. He wondered if she would think this was an assassination attempt or a mating brawl. Or would she guess that it was both.
