Sometimes life doesn't end up quite how you expect...
When the Anatolian military had cancelled the Mecha project, Cerise had thought her life was just about over. She had poured years of work into it, developed no less than a dozen new technologies (or at least new spins on old technologies) to make it all come together, but at the end of the day, they'd decided it wasn't practical or worth the losses thus far and they'd pulled the plug. Sure she could have gone back, gone back into academia, suffered through aching boredom as the years of her life drained away like water down a sieve, and she almost did. She took what she could, managed to get most of the parts since she'd paid off the military with her savings, but even then she didn't have enough to get what she still needed to finish the suit and make it functional, and day after day was spent trying to find ways to make it work and failing.
Then she got the call...
Seems the government wasn't so good at keeping the project a secret after all...
Two years later and she's here. The suit is complete, courtesy of private contract that allowed her to finish construction. she had to make a few modifications for hazardous terrain, but for the most part they'd let her finish her work as she'd originally envisioned it, and not only that but they'd kept her on since when they could have kicked her to the curb. She worked repairing the suit, keeping it functional and combat ready, yet in truth, while she enjoyed the continuations of her work, she was starting to grow bored, and while the trickle of parts had been quite enough to build the missing pieces of her design, it would be years before she scraped enough together to build another whole suit at the rate she was currently going, which meant most of the time she wasn't fixing things was spent doing really nothing.
If she hadn't met Corporal Magennis... She probably would have been fine with that.
The corporal (who'd insisted Cerise call her Megan) was the pilot for the Mecha, and it had really been inevitable that they eventually meet given who was fixing her up after every mission. She was beautiful and military and untouchable in a way that both rankled and attracted the scientist, and as she'd watched after her and kept her flying, she'd also lusted just a little, and from that growing lust a seed of planned perversion had begun to hatch.
The first steps were innocuous enough, the suit's advancement was a process of constant revision and upgrading which required both money and time, only the latter of which Cerise had in plenty. She pitched the idea to the head of the company of creating a drone with the parts she had to trail the suit and stream the explorations live, and while it hadn't brought in much (watching the technology in motion was only so interesting after all and while there was the occasional fight with some alien creature or threat on the other side of the gate those often ended up on video sharing sites rather than drawing people to the stream. Still, the income was enough to justify continued operation of the drone and that in turn allowed for the next phases of Cerise' plan to begin, taking advantage of an extended downtime between missions prompted by some major damage to the suit from an acidic blast that had melted quite a bit of the armor plating.
Rather than purchase new armor (expensive to say the least), Cerise had used this as an excuse to make some changes to the design, stripping away much of the old armor and keeping only the basic system, to which she began to add back the various important parts and worked shielding into the thing instead, creating a force field around the much sleeker design. It was good work all in all, creating a machine with all the durability and firepower of the previous incarnation while doubling it's articulation and mobility and cutting it's weight in half, but it was during this that she'd installed some additions to the suit, working subtly and carefully to incorporate some interesting features into the design.
And she couldn't wait to test it out...
The systems were new enough to justify virtual testing rather than live-fire, and so she would be right on hand to help Megan through these new experiences, with the aim of eventually easing her into the life that Cerise wanted the beautiful corporal to lead...
