A steady, calm breathing pattern escapes against the wooden desk. Big, slender pale hands sit on both sides of a little black laptop. The laptop's cyber-blue display hand highlighted the messy brown locks that ran from the male's head and down over the slick little worn keyboard. The exquisite white dress shirt was tight around his shoulders given his awkward 'asleep on the desk' position. Though the little white numbers on his laptop would dictate that the sun was rising, the lack of a window in the large office room would hide that rising sun. Breath after breath, his back rose and lowered to that pattern.

Suddenly, that pattern came to an end. His rythmatic motions and sounds no longer filled the room as the tall, fit male lay over the desk a moment longer. Like golem of solid rock, fighting against his stubborn nature, the male lifted his head just a few inches. Cold blue eyes and perfect youthful male features are now illuminated by the laptop screen. Those same, almost snake-like in method, blue eyes ran over the the screen he slaved over the night before. It was silly how he didn't work this hard in his field of employment, but he eagerly worked his fingers raw over the laptop keyboard in pursuit of a cute little lady maid. The effort finally paid off as he opened his inbox and read the response from 'Fluffykitten555@AoLoL.com'. A grin, veiled by the darkness, etched it's way over his almost marble model face. Perhaps it wasn't her own email? Maybe a friend made it for her as a kid? It didn't matter. Her application and enthusiasm was proper.

Sitting up proper, the male folded up his white shirt sleeves to reveal his very firm forearms. His fingers flew over his tiny black laptop keyboard. As though he didn't begrudgingly rise from a tomb-like slumber a minute ago, he filled the dark office with a gleeful pattern of clicks and clacks from those tiny worn keys. The glint from the screen light on his shiny expensive watch was distracting, so he paused to quickly rip it off and toss it over his shoulder. Almost like clockwork, as the watch shattered at the brick patterned wall, the roar of the air conditioning kicked in and the well-disciplined fingers of the male resumed his typing art. As though he didn't mind the hunger pangs in his chest, his heavy eyes from the short-lived nap, he didn't rip his fingers from the keys again until he finished his response.

Immediately, he didn't click send to resume his nap. He didn't rush to send it so he could get up and fetch some toast. No, the disciplined male brushed the bangs out of his eyes to lean in and proodread his fun little letter. Most people expect the employment officer to say something about an interview, or require legal identification in two forms. Instead, he wrote a letter noting the address and areas of expertise she should technically have or at least dabble in as a professional cleaner. The bottom of the letter stated today as her start date, the time was in a few hours. He pleasantly signed it with a little text heart and 'Lukas'. A satisfied, deep, manly sigh escaped his lips as he leaned back in his office chair to cross his strong arms. It was immaculate, like almost everything else he was passionate about. To further his almost too demanding level of expected excellence, he proofread it again. The flow was that of a personal letter, and he didn't hate that. A swift motion had his right hand's index finger press to the little red send symbol on the screen.

Like he just hit a home run, Lukas shot up from the seat and stepped out of the room. His speed was unusual for how groggy he must have been, the chair left spinning and the little screen had popped up with 'message sent'. His momentum wouldn't fade as he crossed a balcony overlooking the living room and front door, cleared the staircase with a few daring leaps, and shot through a few more doors to make it into the kitchen. The warm-natured light cinnamon air freshener caught his attention, and his nostrils. His passion betrayed his busyperson mindset and he had to pause to appreciate the scent he picked out a few days previous. A sudden wave of guilt washed over him as he leaned against the counter to face the steel fridge. He paid his favorite and only remaining family servent a large severance deal, enough to seal an epic retirement, to immediately hire a cute young woman with a ridiculous starting wage. The money wasn't the problem, Lukas was the kind of man that was indispensable in his line of work and had a bank account beyond ludicrous levels.

What bugged him was how quickly he wrote the check and said goodbye to his old friend. The butler that practically raised him on excellence and style, like a more domesticated James Bond. And now the old man was gone. Alive and well, but no longer bound. Lukas planned to set the man free since his childhood, but now his world felt so empty. Moving slowly to open the fridge and retrieve the orange juice, Lukas pushed to the sad thoughts away and pulled a smile out of no where. He, pictured the female he may have just hired moments ago, finding some solace in the fact that he might be opening a meaningful chapter in his young adult life.
