The torrential rain belted down on Riley's face like shards of glass. She tired to blink away the water but it as no good. This storm was not predicted and the ship sailed right into it. The crew was rushing to keep the ship afloat. It was not looking good. Riley tired her best to help but a massive wave crashed into the port side of the ship, sending Riley over the edge. She was able to hold onto the edge long enough for one of her fellow crew to grab her arm and try to pull her up, but the rain made his grip too slick. Within seconds she slipped away and plummeted down to the water.
The crash into the waves knocked the air out of Riley, sending the air out of her lungs and replaced with the salty water. She was choking and she quickly lost consciousnesses. Riley sunk under the water and was taken into the deep, dark depths of the ocean like so many poor souls before her.
