Johnny stared at the huge box in his living room and scratched his head.
It was supposed to be a gift of gratitude from one of his clients. Johnny worked as a business consultant and sometimes investor, not especially rich but decently well-off. He was known for always figuring out how to work out fair deals, and also turning cheats and frauds right back on themselves. After rescuing a small art business from getting acquired through questionably legal means and dissolved by a competitor, the owner had said that he would be sending Johnny a gift on top of Johnny's consulting fee.
The 'gift' had arrived, and it was a tall cardboard box covering what he knew to be some kind of metal cage. Airholes were poked in the cardboard here and there, and the box was plastered with lables of "Fragile!" and "Live cargo!". Johnny could occasionally hear something shuffling around inside the box. Johnny sighed and shook his head. The client had given him some kind of large, exotic pet? The dark-haired lanky-built man didn't think he could adequately take care of whatever it might be. But, it would be incredibly rude to send the 'gift' back...
There was a key taped to the side of the box, which Johnny presumed would unlock the metal cage once he took the cardboard covering off. He figured he might as well find out what kind of animal it was, before making any decision. Johnny pulled the key from the box and pocketed it for the moment, before getting a razor to cut through the tape holding the cardboard together. Slowly, the razor cut around one side of the cardboard, until an entire panel was loose. Taking a small breath, Johnny then pulled the panel away, to reveal the contents of the cage.
His eyes widened in shocked surprise at what he saw. On the other hand, what the inhabitant of the cage would see was a fairly tall man, at least a head higher than her, dressed in semi-casual clothes over lightly tanned skin. He had dark-brown almost black hair, amber eyes, and an oval face. While he wasn't particularly muscular, he was fairly toned, as he worked out semi-regularly at a nearby gym.
