Racheal groaned as she eased her bag off her shoulder and placed it on any empty chair in the library before making her way over to the potion's section. With a determined look, she selected several interesting texts to study. The last thing she wanted was for Lupin to realize she was there early on purpose. Severus would never understand if she explained to him she'd grown an attraction for the bookish Gryffindor.
Moving back to the table, she set them down and began to thumb through them while still standing. With a look around, she spotted no one close and shut the books again before making her way to the Defense section, choosing an old leather bound test that the lettering had long since been warn from it's spine. With great interest, she began to read it as she walked back to her chair and sat down to wait for Remus while she read, completely engrossed in her reading.
Lily walked quickly back and forth along the hallway. Something had happened today to put her whole life in perspective. Today, she'd almost said yes, when, for the first time in months, James had asked her out... And this time, she could tell it wasn't a game, this time, she had wanted to say yes, but to do so would be forever to lose her old friend. She still hated what he had done, but she needed to try and talk with him, see if he would at least attempt to communicate with her. Severus had meant what he said, that was the worst part. The only thing worse was that James also meant what he said.
