This is an interest check for an idea that has been bouncing around in my head for some time. The concept is pretty simple; to have a ship based in the universe of the new Battlestar Galactica, have various people play different members of the crew and explore the setting!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ship
The ship that this role play shall be based on will be the Valhalla, a Valkyrie type battlestar. The Valhalla was built during the First Cylon War and is still in service when hostilities break out, much like many of her sister ships for Valkyrie type battlestars form the bulk of the fleet.
The Crew
The crew of the Valhalla is at less than optimum strength. Since the old ship is en route to a salvage dock at the Scorpion Fleet Shipyards only around a third of the crew is on board. Many of the less vital crew as well as all of the Vipers that were functioning at 100% have been transferred, leaving a skeleton crew with only a handful of malfunctioning Mark VI Vipers (17), a dozen Raptors and a very small marine contingent (26).

The Story
The Valhalla is on her last voyage, traveling from her station above Aquaria to the Scorpion Fleet Shipyards for final decommissioning. An old warhorse, Valhalla still has many of her original systems since it was deemed unnecessary by the admiralty to have her updated, considering her main duties were interdiction of smugglers and the like. The admiralty's disdain for the old ship proved to be her saving grace. While the ship traversed the solar system the Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies began. Now with a skeleton crew, outdated systems and next to no Vipers the Valhalla must fight or flee, but above all the ship and it's crew must survive if humanity is to.

Plot Points
- The Valhalla's tylium reserves are low, having barely enough to make it to the shipyards.
- Munitions aboard the ship are practically nonexistent. There are no nukes aboard at all.
- Food and water stores are adequate for the skeleton crew for about a month.
- Most of the crew are the screw ups who have yet to be transferred and people towards the end of their career.
- Cylon agents are aboard the ship, but nobody is aware of this. When will the crew discover their presence?
This thread will be updated with more details as I am able to do so.
